surprising boyfriend, who is a foodie from NYC by way of SF....to a dinner in LA. He'll eat anything, loves seafood, sushi, meat...you name it. what will be the best place to take him? (I have heard good things about Mozza...but isn't that Batali? He had a bad experience at Babbo in NYC....)

thanks, all! yes, i guess the time of year isn't the best for this....but i definitely have heard about the popup in healdsburg. has anyone tried it?

I have a friend whose birthday is coming up, and she's a real foodie. She loves Sonoma....I just really envisioned some sort of outdoor dinner for her amongst the vines....rain permitting. I have seen so many of these farm-to-table dinners happen lately....organic ingredients, or at least raised locally.

Anyone have any great experiences? Where can I find out about something like this? Maybe there's a new pop-up restaurant?
