Suggestions for 3 day Mardi Gras trip

Nice jeans, etc are fine. Apparently I need to lay off the vino before writing online. Rambla on Camp is great for a group as well.

Another great new place, also on Camp street in the CBD is Rambla and they should be good with large parties, they have some large group tables. It's one of our new best- it's Spanish and tapas.

Two nights in New Orleans, near Sheraton on Canal Street -- want food I can eat only in NO.

I recommend trying Dargo's for the charbroiled oysters(a must) so delicious. Mr. B's for bbq shimp. Bbq oysters at Red Fish grill. The one thing you must try and you will love it is our world famous LUCKY DOG, found on several street corners. The best six dollar hot dog you will ever eat! and so New Orleans!! Not recommended for the Vegetarian. Desire on Bourbon is good place fot local food. Head to Cental Grocery and get a Muffaletta to take home or walk back down to Jackson Sq. and enjoy it there. K-Pauls is good.

Try to fit La Forget in for lunch or dinner. Commander's is fun for lunch as has a 25cent martini menu, and a couple of 3 course menus for $30, so if on a budget and you are a drinker switch that one to lunch. I think you have some great places selected!

Commander's Palace for lunch any day during the week and have lots of 25cent martinis.Elizabeths on a weekend for brunch and yummie drinks. Stella is also a really nice spot for dinner. Try restaurant Eat one day or night, take your on wine, beer, etc. they dont have a liquor license but they do incourage BYOB. Bars try Tonique, Erin Rose(best bloody mary ever) and the Golden Lantern is a fun and sometimes funny bar! Have fun. Congratulations!

Suggestions for 3 day Mardi Gras trip

I would recommend for a nice brunch La Forget on Camp St.(open on Friday for lunch) it also has a tasting menu with suggested wine pairing ofcourse. Commander's Palace is great for lunch and the 25 cent martini is a fun treat(5 types to try). Rest August is also open for lunch on Friday. Muriels at Jackson Square is a lovely place- Its such a pretty restaurant even if you dont do a whole meal -go in a have a nice glass of wine and try the goat cheese and shrimp crepe. (Nice jeans and a nice shirt are fine for the above-and below places)The Green Goddess is great however they would have a hard time trying to accommodate a party of your size, but I do suggest it if just a couple of you can get away! For wine, small plates, cheese, etc try the Orleans Grape Vine. Stanley @ Jackson Sq. is a great place for a breakfast and lunch, as is Elizabeths. I would skip the one place you said you would try - I'm constantly hearing tourist say that it was recommend to them and they werent sure why, there are just to may other places to try. Have a great time and Welcome to the city!
