Former NOLA Cook, needs updated info for return visit

Hi, I used to live in NOLA and worked at the Windsor Court a number of years ago. I have not visited the Big Easy since before Katrina.

I am excited to be returning and will only be in NOLA for 3 nights in April and want to maximize my chow time. Please suggest to me the 3 must not miss dinners for those nights, price not an object. Also any additional recommendations would be appreciated too.

Thanks ya'll

While in Charleston, SC where do you recommend

I will be visiting Charleston this spring for 6 nights and want to go to at least 3 outstanding dinners. While I have been to Charleston many times and even lived there, it has been a number of years since my last trip (my wife’s first time). Please recommend your cannot miss choices, we will be staying at Charleston Place 3 nights, and the Sanctuary 3 nights (I don’t mind leaving the island for great dinning). BTW, I am an avid foodie and a graduate of the CIA.

Also, if you would make some breakfast and lunch recommendations too, we would appreciate it :)

Babbo or Scarpetta?

I have been to both Scarpetta's (NY and Miami) and Babbo 3x....IMHO
SCARPETTA, while in its early days Babbo was the king, I get the feeling that it has turned into a place where the table turn is more important than the diners experence.

Food quality at both is excellent, but again I am leaning toward Scarpetta....why not try both while you are here and make your own decision.

Thanksgiving in Ft. Lauterdale/Boca Raton/Miiami

Any suggestions for a GOOD dinner on Thanksgiving day? We are going to be in Ft L but will go to Miami or up to Boca for the right place.

Thanks, and Happy Turkey-Day to ALL.

Visiting Ft. Lauderdale and need suggestions for Thanksgiving dinner and other nights too

My family and I are visiting the Ft. Lauderdale area over Thanksgiving from the metro NYC area (Thursday- Monday). We would like some recommendations as where we could enjoy a great Thanksgiving dinner, with out spending over $80 pp. We all enjoy food and wine and I was a Chef at one time.

We are open to suggestions from Miami to Boca, and do not necessarily need to have turkey….for example we might enjoy a great Cuban repast or other “ethnic” choices. Thanks in advance and Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

BTW, other restaurant recommendations are welcomed for the other days we are visiting too.
