Looking for fermented black beans Hi all, Does anyone know where to get fermented black beans in the Boston area? I bought a pack a while back and am almost out, and can't remember where I found them. I assume Hong Kong Market in Allston must have them, but I couldn't find them last time I was there. If they *are* hidden somewhere there, does anyone remember which aisle to look in? Thanks! |

Union Square Donuts moving (that was fast!) I agree that the chocolate chiptole was underwhelming -- perhaps they have some quality control issues and not all batches are created equal? In general, I was not that impressed with their donuts. I think Verna's on Mass Ave is still the best place to get donuts in Cambridge/Somerville. |

Granted it is not a buffet, but I think the dosas at Dosa Factory are actually pretty tasty. But then, I am a novice when it comes to eating dosas. Where else should I try them to compare? |

Amsterdam Falafel: The Good, The Bad, The Sad I would take the messiness claims with a grain of salt. I went last week and had a great sandwich. If I ended up with some tahini on my fingers, it was nothing a napkin couldn't handle. Most importantly, the falafel was easily the best I had in the Boston area. If you like falafel do not be deterred by fears of a little chaos and mess from giving Amsterdam a try. |

Hi all, I am visiting Toronto this week and will be heading up to Bathurst and Wilson for a meeting early this afternoon. Any thoughts about where I could grab a decent quick lunch in the area would be much appreciated. Thanks! |

I have been wondering about this as well. I watched the Germany-Italy match at Bukowski's in Inman Square. It was pretty empty, but the game was on two tvs. Beer is good, food is less good. Also in Inman is the Druid, which I believe will be showing the game, and will probably have a more enthusiastic football crowd. Less beer selection, smaller menu, but possibly better food. Anyone else have suggestions? |

That sounds like a much better deal. I'll have to keep my eyes open for them next time I am in Vermont... |

Savenor's in Cambridge sells duck eggs (4 for ~ $5.00, if I remember right). |

Fantastic meal at Journeyman in Somerville Hey Unfoodie -- do you have any details on this so-called speakeasy? Do you know when it is going to start up? |

Looking for Ransom Old Tom Gin I recently purchased a bottle of Ransom Old Tom Gin at the liquor store in the Porter Square shopping plaza/mall/thing. I think it is called Liquor World. |

Veggie Planet in Harvard square is not 100% vegan, but has many vegan dishes. Brunch is only on Sunday (I think), and is pretty delicious. ----- |
