Sean Sullivan's Profile
When I moved to Wall St. a year ago (after a couple of decades in the West Village) I was really surprised at the dearth of Chinese Restaurants. Sushi everywhere. But thank goodness the Chinatown crowd can speed down here in no time. Shanghai Gourmet never disappoints. The Crab Meat & Pork Steamed Bun (8 for $6.50) arrive piping hot -- hot as the squirt from the first bite is scalding. Don't know how they accomplish this; other places send flaccid, almost room temp sad little soggies. 212-285-0668. BTW, the rest of the menu is authentic C-town diner beware - e.g. the braised chicken still has the head and feet on.
