Corned Beef and Cabbage

Hello,

I used to live in Oakland, Ca, and on St. Patrick's Day loved to go to a place in Berkeley called Brennan's. They had a cafeteria-style corned beef and cabbage special on St. Patrick's Day.

Anywhere in Philly that I can get great corned beef and cabbage this weekend for St. Patrick's Day (cafeteria-style not required!).

Thanks,
JK

Recycling Oil

Hello,

Does anyone know of restaurants in Philadelphia that accepts used oil? Are there other solutions for recycling used oil that folks use?

Thanks in advance,
JK

Feeding my colleagues (15 and Walnut area)

Hi,

I am hosting 18 colleagues from across the country next week. We will be working out of Brown Brothers Harriman at 15 and Walnut and I need a good place to take them for a group event. My budget is limited ($20/head). Can anyone suggest something down there, or another place that you may have done a similar event at?

Thanks in advance!

lunch in Manayunk?

I just had lunch at the Adobe Cafe (BBQ duck burrito and lobster bisque - $20) at Mitchell and Leverington, not far from Main Street, and it was very good. I also like The Couch Tomato Cafe for gourmet pizza and (decent) salads. I've enjoyed LeBus on Main Street when I've been there (try the Blue Colorado salad).

Food Crawl - South Philly

This is good to know....I live just south of Washington, near the Italian Market. I feel, in my brief experience in Philly thus far, that almost anywhere within the city limits (as I'm defining them) is fairly walkable. Any suggestions are helpful!

Food Crawl - South Philly

New to the board, new to the city! Recently arrived in Philly from a long stint in the Bay Area, where I often cruised the local Chowhound board, but never participated. Being new and loving to explore (especially when food is involved), I was hoping someone(s) could suggest 4-6 great, low-to-moderately priced places to do a food crawl in and around South Philly. I say South Philly because that's where I live, but I'm open to suggestions in other locales of Philly, too. The only criteria is that the destinations are within walking/biking distance of each other, and that they are delicious!

Thanks!
