good, affordable food in North Hollywood?

Over time, I have come to like the following nearby places:

Miya Sushi
5215 Laurel Canyon Blvd
Valley Village, CA 91607
(818) 760-8662
no frills sushi place, but good sushi. other food is ok, but I prefer the sushi and the owner/chef is sweet, can make good recommendations.

The Rustic Spoon (asian fusion)
4384 Lankershim Blvd
North Hollywood, CA 91602
(818) 754-8998

Summer Canteen (asian fusion)
4444 Lankershim Blvd
Toluca Lake, CA 91602
(818) 985-6611
these two places above are both asian fusion and pretty fresh, yummy, and affordable. Rustic Spoon feels a little more cozy, small while Summer Canteen is open, bright, airy.

Just north of this area is the Noho Arts District which can make for a nice little walk. There are some chain restaurants, a few theatres, and some bars there.

Also, really enjoy the food at Skaff's Grill (Mediterranean) on Laurel Cyn blvd, but the interior of the place is very lackluster.

A little further away, but worth a try.
I love the coffee at King's Road Cafe and they have a good breakfast, although not sure they qualify as cheap. Same with Le Pain Quotidien - good coffee, nice atmosphere, fun. Both of them are on Ventura Blvd westward toward Sherman Oaks.

Hummus/ Masabacha

Does anyone know of a place in Los Angeles that serves Masabacha, which is Hummus' cousin?

It's a more liquidy, tasty, spiced version of hummus with pieces of chickpeas and usually served warm. It's so good, you guys don't know what you're missing. I found one place last year called Hummus King in the valley, but they closed shop. Any others?

Organic + Upscale in LA - any Eastside restaurants

Yes, am looking for definitely upscale restaurants to take someone to. If they serve some organic but not necessarily all organic, that works too. Just having trouble finding upscale on the East Side.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Organic + Upscale in LA - any Eastside restaurants

Hi anyone,
I'm looking for UPSCALE restaurants that are also ORGANIC and serve meat on the East Side of LA - Los Feliz, Silverlake, Atawater, Hollywood, maybe Downtown?

Any good suggestions? Am trying to compile a list.

I know Reservoir is somewhat organic, uses local ingredients. Please let me know of others.

Thanks!
