I'd recommend Savenor's either on Kirkland or Charles St. You might also want to check Pineland Farms, supplier of Wolfe's Neck meats which are outstanding. They are in New Gloucester, ME and you might want to check the website- www.wolfesneck.com.

Neptune is excellent but you might want to try Legal Sea Foods or its newest concept, Legal Test Kitchen in the Seaport. For steaks, Grill 23., Davio's, Moo or KO Prime.

Had a great burger at Union in the South End - it has Andouille sausage in it for a llittle extra "kick", and also, the Kobe beef burger at Ruth's Chris is outstanding too.

Wine Cask in Somerville is terrific - a wonderful array of reasonably priced wines from around the world - plus cheeses, gourmet food items, sandwiches to go. It has a charm of its own and a knowledgeable staff.

Moncef Meddeb, who created L'Espalier in the Back Bay, will be the executive chef of Legal SeaFoods' newest restaurant on Northern Ave. where Jimmy's Harborside was when it opens in 2010.

I'm surprised no one has suggested Davio's, a northern Italian steakhouse at 64 Arlington in the Back Bay/Park Square area- outstanding food, superlative service - it is consistently excellent and should not be missed.
Weekend brunch possibility!
The women who have Costello's Tavern in JP have begun operating JJ Foley's Cafe on East Berkeley St. in SoWa - the weekend brunch is excellent with great food, relaxing ambiance, good service and reasonable price points. Well worth checking out.
