Gluten free bagels
I just discovered that Whole Foods sells Udi bagels. They are not frozen, they come in a bag of 4 and are sitting on the shelf. They are the best approximation to a bagel that I've had yet, although not perfect, it definitely works with my cream cheese + lox! :-)
Gluten-free dumplings in Manhattan?
I'm pretty sure they are the same owners. And also their websites are built the same exact way. I may still try the dumplings anyways there. Thanks
Gluten-free dumplings in Manhattan?
Hi,
I'm gluten-free a little less than a year now, and while I'm pretty satisfied with most substitutes, I have not found any good gluten-free dumplings. I've only tried the ones at Lilli and Loo, but I wasn't impressed. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!
Looking for great fish in midtown for me + my grandma, a price level just lower than Milos
Hi,
My grandma is flying up from FL and we're going to have dinner with me, her and her twin sister who lives in Great Neck. I want a great seafood restaurant in midtown- they will be staying at 56th and Broadway. I want somewhere nice, but not quite as pricey as Milos, maybe just the next level in price down. Anything with seafood, Greek is good, but not necessary. Not sushi.
Thanks!
Good Peruvian Food?
Chicken Festival in the UES. It's like Pio Pio, but way better. The seasoning of the chicken is better and the beans are so delicious with their seasonings. And it's pretty cheap!
Greek Fava Bean Puree
In Greece last summer, I had this amazing fava bean puree. It was a hummus-like consistency and served with olive oil and capers sometimes. I see that Snack Taverna has it and I'm going to go there and try it. But, do any of you have suggestions of where you've had it and where it's the best?
Thanks so much!
I will like to stay in Manhattan primarily, would go to BK. Not Queens.

Best Shawarma in Manhattan?
I just was in Israel for a month and since I got back have been trying to find comparable shawarma- preferably lamb. Any suggestions? I live in UES and will try anywhere in Manhattan, but midtown or uptown is better than way downtown. Thanks!
