Las Vegas Bachelorette Moderate Price

I am looking for one more restaurant for a Bachelorette Wknd...looking for a Moderately Priced option (@ 50/pp) and fun atmosphere. Read some other suggestions on here that mentioned Jaleo, Border Grill, and Charlie Palmer Cut of the week prix fixe....any thoughts about these or other recs?

Thanks!

Great Food and atmosphere for family dinner on the Strip

We are actually staying at our timeshare which is at the Hilton Flamingo. Honestly though, great food is the priority for us vs location.

Great Food and atmosphere for family dinner on the Strip

There will be 6 of us. In terms of cuisine, we are open, but we don't want too formal for this occasion. We are all from New Orleans, so we are spoiled by delicious food and drinks in great atmosphere.

Great Food and atmosphere for family dinner on the Strip

We are going on a family trip (all adults) to Las Vegas in October. We are all foodies, but are really not familiar at all with the Vegas restaurant scene. We would like to stay on the strip, have great atmosphere, and stay around 150/pp give or take. I have searched the board, but having a hard time narrowing down. Am open to any cuisine except probably not French. Thanks!

Anniversary weekend at St Regis Monarch Beach

Thanks for reminding me to post! We had such a great weekend. By far, the best food of the weekend was Stonehill Tavern. We did the food and wine pairing, and all 5 courses and the wine they served was really delicious, creative, and cooked perfectly...and worth the 150/person. We sat in a glass booth and had a really wonderful night.

The 2nd night we went to Raya, and overall the food was good, but not great. The ceviche appetizer and my husband's paella were the best picks. The table and service was stellar (thanks for the rec to tell them it was our anniversary....we had a table overlooking the water and saw the sunset). They made the night very special for us. I would recommend that people go a bit early and have a cocktail at the rooftop bar...beautiful view and good drinks.

Our least favorite (and most expensive) meal was our last night at The Studio at The Montage. The view is breathtaking, but we were really underwhelmed by the food. The menu was not that interesting and we didn't care for several of the options on the tasting menu. However, I do want to mention that the sommelier was exceptional and the property was beautiful.

This post is making me want to go back! Thanks for all of your advice!

Anniversary weekend at St Regis Monarch Beach

Thanks so much! Great suggestion, and I did make a reservation with all of the requests you mentioned. I will post a report on all 3 restaurants after next weekend.

Anniversary weekend at St Regis Monarch Beach

We will be spending a long weekend at St Regis in Dana Point for our anniversary and are looking to splurge on delicious and romantic meals. We are not wanting to travel too far from the hotel. We will be there for 3 nights and so far have booked dinner at Stonehill Tavern and Studio at the Montage Laguna Beach. Any other recommendations? We are not familiar with the area at all. Thanks in advance!

Dinner in LA with visiting foodie friends

Thanks so much for all of the suggestions! Narrowed it down to Animal or Rivera, and will let our friends decide. Will post a follow up after our dinner out!

Good suggestion! They are from the east coast...we have lived in Boston, Maine, and spent time eating in NYC together. This will be their first visit since we moved to CA a few months ago.

Dinner in LA with visiting foodie friends

Thanks for the quick replies! So, sounds like several people aren't thrilled by Lucques. I am excited to try Lazy Ox, but think we want a different atmosphere for this night out, and by the looks of the website it seems to be a more casual spot...is this correct?

Also, someone said that Animal turns into a "nightclub" late night...is this true? Hope not.

Dinner in LA with visiting foodie friends

We recently moved to the area and will be having foodie friends visiting and need restaurant suggestions. After searching the boards, some of my thoughts are:

Hatfields, Rivera, Bistro LQ, Lucques, Animal, or Bazaar (but a bit worried about the price).

Any suggestions or other thoughts? We would like to keep the price somewhere around $100 per person give or take. Not committed to a specific area of the city.

Thanks!

Great food, but moderately priced for family dinner in LA

My husband and I are new to LA, and my family will be visiting for the first time, and I haven't found a good fit for a restaurant to take them to yet. They are from New Orleans so are used to excellent food without outrageous prices. We will be spending the day in the city doing touristy things, so something close to downtown would be preferable, although we will have a car. Would like to keep the price close to 50pp and good atmosphere.
