Clam Pizza in Philadelphia?

Love the clams casino pizza at Slice. Also, I believe Mamma Palma's has a straight up clam pizza and as I recall, it's pretty tasty.

Restaurant Week - Which Italian Should I Choose?

A group of us did RW at Salento last RW and we weren't thrilled. The apps were fine. The mains were kinda boring. I haven't been to your other 2 places. The same group did have a great experience at Branzino.

Are Spread bagels all that?

I got a dozen for the office a few weeks ago. Everyone raved about them. I'd go again, but sparingly. I think for the bagels plus one cream cheese, it was $23.00.

Dinner around 8th and Walnut

We did Chifa before seeing Miss Saigon. It was wonderful!

Good time to visit Monk's cafe?

Before 6pm on Friday shouldn't be bad. It gets pretty crowded later.

Broadway for dinner?

sorry - theater disctrict/times square. Pre-theater meal.

Broadway for dinner?

Looking for a yummy place that's not too expensive (no more than $20-30pp). We are a group of 4 who will be in town tomorrow night. One of us has a diet restriction due to medical issues and is in need of soup that is not spicy. Any help you can offer is appreciated!

Good eats near Steamtown?

I enjoy Thai Rak Thai which is super close and where I head at least once during nearly every visit to the Scranton area to see my family.

South Philly Chow/Karaoke?

I celebrated my birthday at Yakitori Boy. We reserved a private room for 3 hours and it was fantastic. Everyone had a great time and the food was reasonably priced and yummy. It's small plates, so we just ordered a bunch of different things. I had a large group and it was not a hassle to keep separate tabs.

Eat-in Pizza Center City

Mama Palma's

Chains you wished you had in the USA

There are 2 here in Philadelphia. I go often.

Tinto -what's a must?

Heading to Tinto tomorrow night (birthday dinner). What is a must to try? We LOVED Amada and I'm really looking forward to it.

Rehearsal Dinner in or near Wilkes-Barre

Hi! I'm getting married in October in Plains and am looking for a restaurant to hold our rehearsal dinner. We are anticipating 25-30 people and are really interested in quality of food and service. A Wilkes-Barre location would be ideal, but we are willing to travel a short distance. We will likely need a place that will be able to accomodate steak lovers and vegetarians. Thanks for your suggestions!

Fun lively BYO that can accomodate a private party

My friends have had fun events at Mustard Greens (2nd between South & Bainbridge). Typical Chinese food, but the quality is great with fresh ingredients. They have a large upstairs which they will reserve for parties.

Matyson for Valentine's Day?

I sat at that table for my brithday last year. I was a little worried because it's close to the door, but we had no issues (with cold or people). I think there was a large thick curtain draped at the entrance, but I could be mistaken.

Bridal shower venues in Philly?

I'm planning my fall wedding and get flyers all the time from places. Most recently, I received one from Manayunk Brewery. www.manayunkbrewery.com
I've never been, so I can't attest to the space or the food, but it looks nice in the photos and seems reasonable.

Taco Trucks in the Philly area?

Last time I drove down Washington toward Delaware Ave, I noticed a taco truck by a park. It would be around 5th and Washington. Can't speak to the food, but it's not terribly far from the other Washington St tacquerias, if you wanted to give both a shot.

Sushi Suggestions - CC Philadelphia

Thanks for the suggestions! I was pushing for Misso, but people don't feel like walking too far tonight. Looks like we're heading to Moshi Moshi.

Sushi Suggestions - CC Philadelphia

Four of us are planning on going out for sushi tonight. We're looking for a place that isn't too expensive and will allow us to linger after the meal. Two that were mentioned are Mizu and Moshi Moshi. The area of center city doesn't matter too much, but most of the group would prefer the west side of Broad. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Waterfront Banquet Facility-Wilkes-Barre

Has anyone attended an event here? We are considering having our wedding reception here. We like the space, but are interested in hearing about the food. TIA!

Cupcakes in Philadelphia: '08 Edition

I've been in the 20th St store - cupcakes only. They had a handy (take away) guide for which days they are making certain cupcakes.

Sunday Brunch/lunch near Antique Row?

Supper on South between 9th and 10th and Mixto at 12th and Pine are both close and get good reviews for brunch.

Where will you go back again (and again)?

Tria and Vietnam are two of my faves.

Wedding locations in Northeast PA

A few years ago, I attended an outdoor wedding at Salt Springs Park, which is just outside of Montrose. The reception was held elsewhere. http://www.friendsofsaltspringspark.org/

CC Pizza?: East of Broad, North of Christian, South of Girard

Michael's closed. It's now a Gianfranco's. Though it's off your grid, Slice delivers.

Fried Chicken for a Picnic

Thanks, Bashful. I did end up getting Popeye's which everyone loved.

Fried Chicken for a Picnic

I'm attending a picnic tonight and figured I would bring some fried chicken. I work at 19th near JFK and walk home after work to Wash West. I would be willing to walk to the Gallery (fast food chicken a-ok with me), but am wondering if there's another place that's not so far out of the way. TIA!

Best place to get dessert in Philadelphia?

If cheesecake is what you're looking for, then get yourself to Darling's. They have 2 locations: one is near the Franklin Institute and the other is on 19th (?) just south of Pine. http://www.darlingscheesecake.com/

Favorite Vegetarian Restaurant in Philadelphia

Gianna's Grill is more of a takeout place with a few tables, but they have yummy vegan (and meat too) cheesesteaks. www.giannasgrille.com

Chima (Brazilian Steakhouse)

Thanks for your great review...it made my stomach growl. Does anyone know how this place compares to Fogo de Chao?
