Sushi obsession- recommendations? @foodie buddah-I tried to research it myself, even asking the original person who told me so and them in turn chasing down who thy heard it from. I'm still hearing Tim worked there but I think I will, from now on, not refer to his resumè. Have ou ever eaten at the Sakura in east Cobb? I really havent had any better sushi. Now, I've eaten at tomo, and will say it was fantastic. It also cost nearly $200 for just my omakase and I think Tim is a fair comparison. If you ever do venture into my sushi haven, drop me a line. I'd love to either give you a recommendation or two, hear your after thoughts, or pull up a sushibar stool next to ya;) thanks for the brief brush of celebritism.:) I remain your loyal follower. ----- |

Ethnic Atlanta, I want your favorite brands of condiments. I know WHERE to get my Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Korean, and Vietnamese ingredients, I just don't know which are the best brands. Would anyone mind telling me their favorite: |

San Francisco Hounds moving to Atlanta--what should we look forward to? Local Three is another great spot that supports local cuisine and farmers. |

I can't support the review of Bai Wei as the two experiences my husband and I had were not great. But MF is advertised as the ----- |

chef coming to marietta, georgia for research. Any suggestions? Salt Factory in Roswell. Locally owned and operated. Food is fantastic. High end pub food with a fantastic beer and wine list. Everything from the Roswell Burger, fried oysters, fish and chips to the more "exotic" Asian wings, seared scallops over truffle infused risotto. They have a weekly specials menu which highlights the local produce. The guys that own it are fantastic. They also own a food cart inspired restaurant three doors down from Salt called Inc street food. The kitchen is actually framed out like a food truck. Food is outstanding there as well. |

Has anyone been to tasty china since Changs has opened? It was good before Chang returned but I wonder who is cooking now and of the quality is the same. ----- |

Well said! |

I am an old Tasty China fan both before Changs return and after. We went to Chang's last weekend with four other couples at my husband's and my recommendation. We are fortunate enough to be very comfortable with the menu, as the most of the Szechuan items are the same as Tasty China's menu. I also paid close attention to the reviewers favorite dishes and ordered those as well as our favorites. Here is what we ordered ----- |

Y'all have been wonderful. I love how much you love your city and it's food. I've already had the best time researching. I see on the news that you are suffering quite a bit from the cold and snow. I do hope it warms up soon. Thank you all so much for your enthusiastic recommendations. |

alrighty. We are flying into Logan and possibly staying at the W. No price point. We could do lunch and dinner. My husband went to law school in Boston and knows the area. I've never been. |

My husband and I are looking for the best foodie restaurant in Boston. We only get one night, February 17th, and we love any type of food. Anything that is original, outstanding, or truly A "Boston only" find. Looking forward to reading all my chowhounders local favorites! |

Please help me narrow this list down, ATL Hounds... Chef Lius for sure. Best, if not only, soup dumplings in Atlanta. You should also put Tasty China on your list. Nothing else like it in the Southeast. ----- Tasty China |

Coming to ATL for my 50th b-day Oct 3rd, (sun)-need restuarant Need local help!! Tasty china is a meal you will never forget. It is truly authentic Szechuan Chinese food. There are things on the menu with names like hot and numbing beef roll. Peter Chang the nomad chef with a cult like following has returned to Tasty China. People drive from miles away to taste his food. ----- |

Favorite Atlanta Spot that is Never Mentioned I love Salt Factory and Inc Street Food in Roswell. I go with my husband and with the girls. I've had almost everything on the menu at both places. Some personal favorites at Salt are...the short ribs, the Roswell burger, the mussels, and the linguini with clams. At Inc you have to have the empanadas, beet salad and steak tacos. Both places run weekly specials that reflect the produce in season. Salt has a great selection of beer and Inc has a huge selection of tequila. |
