I always think about a sandwich I had years ago in Italy when I was in college on a study abroad trip. Dense, crustless bread, sweet creamy butter, ham and sauteed mushrooms and thinly sliced hard-boiled egg. WOW. We ate it outside in a park on a sunny day. Was it this humble sandwich or just the fact that I was in Italy for the first time in the company of good friends?

Soup! I love soup! And eggs. Scrambled, over-easy, omelettes. And I love sandwiches with extra mayo. Loooove mayo!
