Gluten-Free Italian?

I've not been here, but I've heard that Trento in Westlake has a gluten free menu.

I know it's been discussed before, but... Ramen?

Banzai, on Lamar across from Central Market has some decent ramen. No char sui or kamaboko, but it works in a pinch. They also have shichimi togarashi, which I love to put on ramen.

good food, dog friendly restaurant?

My cousin was visiting recently, and had brought her dog. We ended up at Moonshine, which is totally dog friendly on their patio.

Braise

Went Tuesday night. They're working on their liquor license, so in the meantime, if you order an entree, they'll give you a couple glasses of wine, or Lone Star on tap. Had the Rosie salad, and bone-in King Salmon Steak. Pretty tasty. Liked that they offer 1/2 plates. Since we were eating late, we split a 1/2 plate, which was perfect. Overall, a good experience.

1063 Lıcensed Food Traılers ın Austın and I Ate at Each One

Gotta check out East Side King! These are guys from Uchi. You've got to go through the Liberty Bar on E. 6th to get to the trailer in the back. The Thai Chicken Karaage was delicious! We also had the Beet Fries, which are beets, sliced and quartered, dredged in cornstarch and deep fried. Served with kewpie mayo. We also had the Curry Buns. Everything was so good, I can't wait to go back to try the rest of the menu. I think they are only open Thurs-Sat., 7-2 am.

Pigs in a blanket - what sauce or dip?

I agree with mustard. I mix some chopped chipotle chilies in adobo with yellow mustard to add a little kick.

Vegetarian Restaurant Suggestions

I'm going to be visiting SF for Christmas, and am looking for a good vegetarian restaurant. It seems like we always go to Greens, and I'm just looking for some new suggestions.

Soup for strep

I always get the rice soup with chicken (Kow Tom Gai) from Thai Kitchen. It does the trick when I'm feeling under the weather.

Dining in Waikiki

Going to be in Waikiki for a night in a couple of weeks, and looking for a recommendation for a moderately priced beachfront restaurant. Menu needs to have American food, along with local or Asian choices.

P.Terry's #3

Can't speak to the beef burgers, but the chicken burger and the veggie burgers are good. I have to agree, though, that the fries aren't crisp like they used to be.

Food Recommendations: staying at 35 and 183

I've eaten at Chow Cafe a couple of times, and it's always been good. They say they have the best pulled pork sandwich in town, and I have to admit, it's pretty darn good! Their lunch specials are homemade, and a great deal. Here's a link to their website: http://chowcafeaustin.com/. They're open from 11-2, Mon-Fri.

Good recs for Austin

LaTraviata is located on Congress, and is very good Italian. Vespaio, on South Congress, is very good, also.

Good spicy soup for a sick girl

When I'm feeling under the weather, a bowl of the chicken soup with rice from Thai Kitchen always does the trick!

Lunch - Maru, Tomo or Kona

This may be a bit out of the way, but Sushi Japon on the frontage road of 35, just north of 290E is pretty good. They have lunch specials. Their tempura and miso soup are excellent, and the sushi I've gotten there is always good.

Best Margaritas in Austin--on the rocks with salt

I know you asked for a rocks margarita, I like rocks better than frozen, but the frozen margarita at the Belmont is very good for $4. They make it with Paula's Orange.
