What's up with Ben and Izzy's? Any idea what their hours will be? |

2013 Food and Restaurant CHANGES and CLOSINGS There's a sign in the window saying something new is opening soon. Anyone know what it might be? |
Yup. I'll let you know if I get my hands on any. |
Thanks for the tip. I've emailed them just in case. |
Is there anyone locally selling it? |

2013 Food and Restaurant CHANGES and CLOSINGS Looks like Dunn's on King is closed for good now. It's only been open sporadically lately but a notice of termination showed up on the door a few days ago. |

down-to-earth pubs with decent grub I've been twice in the last few weeks to have just that: grilled cheese, buffalo chips and a beer. The first time was great, the sandwich was just right and the chips not too greasy. The second time was an unappetizing mess to the point I'm not sure I'd eat there again. Their beer was in good condition both times though. |

I tried three SAQ today: the two near JT market, with little in the way of Belgians, and the one at Atwater Market which had all of the ones in the catalogue. I happily stocked my cellar with 2 Rocheforts, Chimay Blue, Maredsous and Orvals, consolation prizes for missing out on the absurd Westvleteren 12 scramble at the LCBO last week. Thanks everyone for the suggestions. |
Thanks for the reply. In Ontario the LCBO issues a quarterly list with special items that will become available in the next three months. Is there anything like that in Quebec for beer or is it always just the regular list? |

+1 to Nouveau Système. You can eat that once a week? |

2012 Food and Restaurant CHANGES and CLOSINGS BBQ Hut in Little India on Gerrard is gone. Although it was never very nice and things were clearly going downhill lately, I recall having a decent meal or two over the many years it was there. |

2012 Food and Restaurant CHANGES and CLOSINGS Le Panier Rouge, Yonge and St Clair, already gone. |

Where to find German Radler in Ottawa/Toronto? Stiegl Grapefruit Radler is on tap at Castro's in the Beach. |
I can't vouch for the place yet not having been there and if you care about decent beer, why not Bar Hop just west of there on King? I'm hearing good things about the place. |
Which SAQ store in Montreal has the best selection of Belgian beer? |
Was at JT Market today and couldn't believe how expensive it was. Why is that? |
Has it been slow? Whenever I've wanted to go, albeit on weekends, it's been packed. |

25 Montreal Restaurants Over 25 Years Old I'm pretty sure that Green Spot and Nouveau Systeme on Notre-Dame O. have been around since the 1940's or earlier. |

ISO Clever Coffee Dripper Oshawa Whitby area I ordered mine from these people north of Toronto without any issues and as I recall shipping was cheap: |
I'm not sure it will work but yeast for making beer can be found at Cachette du Bootlegger in Baie-d'Urfé or Choppe à Barrock in the Plateau. |

2012 Food and Restaurant CHANGES and CLOSINGS Le Petit Gourmet on Yonge near Rosedale station is closed for renovations. |
Agree. Any Chinese shop on Gerrard or Broadview in the east end should have them. |
ISO/ What is the best Home proconsumer Espresso machine? I've dealt with Zuccarini several times over the last 15 years and would recommend them for home machines... |

Good Food in the Distillery District? Not exactly the Distillery District but have you considered Beer Bistro at King and Yonge, about 15 minutes walk away? There are two other pubs serving interesting beer in the neighbourhood, Mill Street right in the District and C'est What on Front, but you might be disappointed with the food at those. |
I'll update my own post for piccola to say really good sabich was found at Dr Laffa mentioned in other posts in North York. Not quite as good as the ones from the street in Tel Aviv but close... |

Beer Line Cleaning...looking for some help please! Out of curiosity did you end up cleaning them yourself? |
Pickapeppa Sauce - where to find in Mtl? A few months ago one of the shops near the cheese shop on the east side of the Jean Talon market had it. |

finally some action beside Fruit King at Danforth and Logan I believe the restaurant that was there previously was called Odyssey and if memory serves it closed over twenty years ago. It was interesting because it had an open kitchen and the food was quite good as I recall. That part of the Danforth needs something more interesting than generic yoghurt and juice franchises. |

Gill Restaurant Yonge and St. Clair Although I'll be sorry to see the Japanese menu go (the chiarashi was excellent), this is actually good news because the owner knows what he's doing and Yonge and St. Clair desperately needs a Chinese restaurant. I hope he's able to do better with this difficult space. |

In search of Lyle's Golden Syrup Sobey's has it as well. |
