Recommendations for downtown Winston-Salem The Village Tavern by the Hanes mall is excellent for steaks, fish, & burgers. Great service, nice presentation, good quality all at a reasonable price. I recommend it. |

Q in Durham has great barbeque; ribs, brisket, turkey, & chicken. the sides are good but not as good as the meat. |

TOAST in Davidson NC has great food. I visited it when visiting Davidson College. It had a stead stream of people coming and going so i stopped in and the service was great. they even offer me a coffee to go at no extra charge! The food was done to perfection. |

Good escargot at Chloe's in Hudson The meat loaf is the best. But it is hard to call it meat load given it is cooked in a pastry shell, wrapped in bacon stuffed with cheese. This is the best kept secret restaurant in Metrowest. |

If you want a GREAT breakfast in Metrowest go to the j&m dinner in Natick. It is excellent. Not a jewish deli, but the place for breakfast. But cash only! |

Is excellent for the $$$. The four of us had four different meals chicken, fish, pork & meaf. All met or beat our expectations. Service was good not great. ----- |

The J&M on Rt 126 Natick is the best breakfast, large portions, top quality food. The only down side is they only take cash. ----- |
