Wow! Terrific ideas. Thanks for all of these. I think we will spend the available time walking and eating.

Thank you for this! I was actually poking around for homemade ice cream there, but hadn't found this. This looks like a must do!

I am not going to limit us to those blocks, but that is where we will spend a good bit of the short time we are there. We get in next Tuesday night, have a meeting near Rockefeller Center, then are on the way home on Thursday morning. So Wednesday night dinner is more open, but we will be around the area for a good part of Wednesday day, so I am trying to maximize the good food. Lunch carts are a good idea. I will say that the tone is part of what can discourage people from asking for help.

I am bringing my daughter to NY with me for a quick two-day visit. We will have time for a late dinner one night and three meals the next day. Besides telling her that she will have her first good bagel, I want to show her a bit of the fun of NY food. Any ideas for accessible places in a general area of E. 39th St to E. 49th around Park/Lex/Madison? Thanks!

Cocktails in NOLA

We are staying next week for three days (Wed-Sat) in the CBD right between the FQ and GD. Looking for good places for cocktails, apps, maybe lunch in general area. Don't want Commander's, NOLA institutions, FQ tackiness. Instead, looking for good atmosphere, nice place, mid-range as opposed to high end.

One dinner in DC - Woodley Park, Cleveland Park, Adams Morgan areas

Actually, I am getting together with a friend, but quiet enough for talking and catching up is perfect.

Thanks! I was actually leaning toward Dino. The menu looks interesting and it seems comfortable. Glad to hear your thoughts.

One dinner in DC - Woodley Park, Cleveland Park, Adams Morgan areas

Will be staying at the Woodley Park Marriot for a conference and am only in town for one dinner, on a Friday night. It will be a late-ish dinner, 8:30 or 9:00. Figured I might stay in the general area, so am looking for ideas for Woodley Park, Cleveland Park, Adams Morgan. Am thinking about Dino, 2Amys, Hank's Oyster Bar, Palena Cafe. Any thoughts on these? Any other recommendations? Thanks.
