Late/all night dining near Tufts?
The name escapes me at the moment but there's a truck that sells Burgers, Dogs, Italian Sausage, Kielbasa on Tufts Campus that's open till I believe 3 AM on Friday and Saturday. Its at Professors Row and Packard Ave.
Egg and Cheese Sandwich
Tasty Gourmet - Boston Ave. Medford
I always like Egg and Cheese from Falafel King in Dowtown Crossing as well, if he's still selling in the morning.
Kelly's in Ball sq.
Finally, Broken Yolk in Powderhouse circle.
B-Side to be sold? Say it ain't so
I welcome my Moan and Dove overlords, here's hoping they leave out the eggs.
Pumpkin tortellini, for take-away
Russo's gets their ravioli (last i knew) from Dave's pasta
DePasquale's (Newton) closed?
I haven't been by that way in a long time so others probably know better than I do, but you can probably call Russo's in Watertown and ask them if they still sell DePasquale's sausage you can get it there, and they have better hours.
American Chop Suey
There used to be a place on Craft st. in newton that made a good american chop suey. But it burned down a while ago, maybe 4 years ago now, I believe they've re-opened, not sure if its the same owners, but ACS was one of the few things they made well.
Occasionally, Strip-t's in Watertown has this on the menu as a special, when they do, its good.
Finally, McKinnon's in Davis Square serves this at lunch sometimes (maybe once a week in the winter) I find it a bit greasey but you may like it.
Chicken Tikka Masala
Namaskar in Davis Sq. has a good Chicken Tikka Masala, its also on the lunch buffet everyday.
kielbasa to buy!
There's a polish butcher in New York that is very very good and ships smoked rings. The place is called Rapacki and the # is 800-486-KIELBASA. They also have a variety of other stuff they ship as well, they'll send you a pricelist with your order.
Looking for cheap but cool places to eat while in Boston
I thought of listing Bukowski's in my original post but its a bit hard to get over that every decent beer on tap is going to run you $7 a piece. But I do like their vegetarian meatballs. All in all I'd rather go to Anam Cara/Publick House in Brookline for a better tap selection, and better food (food is def. more pricey than buk's though)
Looking for cheap but cool places to eat while in Boston
In Revere, I'd go to Uncle Pete's Hickory Ribs, although others may have better ideas. Downtown, if you like dives with exceptionally good food, I'd go to Delux Cafe 100 Chandler St.
Great breakfast in Cambridge/ boston area??
Renee's cafe near davis square in Cam/Somerville is a very good breakfast. Good omlettes and French toast, plus a bunch of omelette and benedict specials each day. Way better then the more popular Soundbites and Neighborhod rest. But you may have to stand in line for a bit.
Best of Boston, an experiment
