What happened to Killer Shrimp?

Had an intense craving for Killer Shrimp yesterday in Marina del Rey and found that like the Studio City location, it is now closed. Deep sadness. Does anyone know if they are merely giving themselves a makeover or will I never again experience the fabulousness of Killer Shrimp again???

I'm doing the same journey in 3 weeks, how did this work out for you? Did you find any great eats?

Cabo San Lucas '07 [Moved from International board]

My aunt lives in San Jose on the way to Cabo and took me to a locals place Zippers. If you get a chance, the food is great (shrimp tacos and Ribs that fall off the bone) and it is steps from the ocean, the view + good food makes you feel like you have no worries.
Nick San is as great as everyone said.
French Riviera is great too we grabbed enough pastries our to snack on for days (VERY worth it). The original one is in San Jose near the Church (anyone can point you there) or you can go to the one closer to Cabo, just outside of town, times open are much different though so check before you go to this one.
Also had some decent guac and drinks at the office one night. Again gorgeous. Have a great time!

Echigo Koshihikari - where to buy?

My boyfriend has been lovin this beer Echigo Koshihikari for a while and we've only had the pleasure of drinking it at a few sushi bars in the Westside/Valley. Without venturing into the SGV does anyone know where I can find this stuff? I've checked multiple Whole Foods, Mitsuwa and Nijiya Markets. Help?!

Sushi in the valley

So I ventured to Asanebo last night and it was fantastic! We had omakase which started off with a warm spinache salad and halibut with truffles. I had Red snapper, Buckwheat soup with large Shiitake mushrooms and AMAZING warm Toro. A great way to start my Ventura sushi adventures. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Cabo San Lucas '07 [Moved from International board]

Going in a few weeks to Cabo San Lucas. Seen a few posts for Mi Casa and Ediths but those were made years ago, I will definetely give these a try. Anyone have any new suggestions? I have an oyster addiction so any oyster bars would be great.

Sushi in the valley

I know it's ALL over Ventura Blvd, but which are the best and which shall I steer clear of? I am on a mission to try them all but need some guidance.
