Taking my mom to NOLA for the weekend. Would LOVE you forever if you could help.
I agree, Cochon Butcher would be the ideal place for your light lunch on Saturday. I would probably do dinner at Herbsaint instead of Emeril's but that's just a personal preference. Sunday brunch - excellent choice! You will be pretty full so a smaller dinner is a good idea, but I agree, not Maspero's. Agree with the grand isle suggestion.
Indian food in the New Orleans area?
I like Nirvana too but the OP is right - the spice level is different every time I've eaten there. But I still go there often!
Brunch: Elizabeth's or Dante's?
Do you live here? Or visiting? If you're staying in the FQ, I'm not sure that Dante's is worth that large of a detour unless you planned on taking the streetcar down that way as part of your visit. Dante's does have better food and atmosphere, but it doesn't have praline bacon! ha!
Looking for King Cake
I've lived in Nola for 12 years and my hands-down favorite is Randazzo's Camellia City. They are a little pricier to ship, though.

Recommendation for restaurant Easter Sunday early dinner?
+1 for Antoine's, CP, and Arnaud's.
NOLA refresher please
Yes, the Camellia Grill has a location in the heart of the FQ now, it's awesome. I absolutely love Gautreaus, excellent choice!
2 days in New Orleans where should I eat?
even brunch at Commanders is an outstanding value.
Restaurants to AVOID
I wish I could tell every tourist in the world not to go to Mother's!!!!! So agree.
Trip Report Jan 11-14
Good report. I think the napoleon house muffaletta is a matter of preference. I prefer the smaller portions of olive salad and meat on the sandwich, and I like that they melt the cheese a little. Much better than the Central Grocery monstrosity that you then have to figure out where you're going to eat it since they have no seating. LOVE Parkway! I've been meaning to get to Three Muses.
Low to mid-range Nola restaurants
You could also take the streetcar to La Crepe Nanou, which is very reasonable.
Jazz Fest
Were you also wanting advice on what to eat at Jazzfest? Or just what to eat for dinner afterwards?
dining on Super Bowl Sunday?
Sorry to disagree with Littleman but Crescent City Brewhouse is an awful tourist trap IMHO. I strongly agree with his suggestion for Cooter Browns. And of course Tracey's (garden district) has an awesome roast beef poboy - but will likely be super packed for the superbowl!
Help me hone my NOLA Plans
I can't recommend Adolfos. Were you looking for Italian generally, or were you wanting a restaurant specifically in the Frenchmen Street area?
3 DAYS IN NOLA -- PLEASE CRITIQUE MY PLAN
Good itinerary. I would head to Parkway for poboys rather than Domilise's, just a personal preference. Skip Meson 923 as it is fine but not worth a special trip IMO. I would omit Cure from the bars just because there isn't a lot else around there. Everything else looks great!
Local food recommendations
agreed - read the sticky. If you are staying in the FQ, here is a list of restaurants in that neighborhood. There are hundreds of restaurants so parameters are needed to answer your question.
