mamachef. Thanks for some new ideas. i use white vingear, some water and Kosher salt pouring all over sliced cukes. I sometimes sprinkle chili powder on slices and eat that way. Hubbbard squash you will not find in the South. I used to have it baked with butter, S&P. A Utah favorite memory of my childhood. Have you found any squash with a similiar taste like Hubbard, or any other viewers?

Delicious Autumn Turnips

I just made sweet sour turnips last week. My husband really went wild over the flavor. In the autumn of the year, even though we live in Florida, cooler weather here brings out my Utah upbringing and turnips were always cooked a lot. Amymon got the flavor right on. It does taste like potato-radish flavor.

Oldunc: My father used pancake batter with beer and seasonings to bread and fry trout and crappies. He always had a crispy crust. Maybe that will help you.

Caramelized onions in Crock-Pot?

I use equal parts of a good olive and butter, salt and a bit of seasoning powder. Low for at least 18 hours. Yummy with French Onion soup or on hot dogs.

TZATZIKI (cucumber sauce)
