Most Kid Un-Friendly Restaurants In LA.

We took my then 2 and 4 year old nieces to Cut and they staff couldn't have been more accomodating - special drinks, off-menu food, etc. The girls liked our server so much they asked if she wanted to come home with us. Our party ranged in age from 2 - 75 years and everyone had a fantastic time!

Funniest Thing a Server Said to You

i don't think i said anything - just stared at him. i was kind of in shock that he ate my food. he asked if i wanted a new one and i said "no, thanks".

Funniest Thing a Server Said to You

that reminds me of a time i ordered a cheese quesadilla; after the first bite told the waiter i thought the cheese was moldy. he then picks up my quesadilla, eats a big bite, and replies, "yes, i think you're right!". eeeeekkk!

Casa Don Rolando, Cuban in North Hills

I'm really glad you mentioned this place - I've been meaning to, but forgot. I went with a friend a few months ago and had the oxtail. It was tasty, tender, and delicious. The appetizer sampler was great too. Service was warm and attentive. Thanks for the great reminder!

Need birthday baking inspiration- dulce de leche? chocolate?

Hi - how about the Guiness Chocolate Cake from Nigella Lawson's "Feast" cookbook? I've made it several times and it always turns out excellent.

Dish (La Canada) -- review

no - not a one time thing, our last experience there wasn't very good either. despite the already long wait (45 minutes +), the hostess kept seating her friends before the rest of us who were patiently waiting. i ordered a grilled tuna melt (breakfast was over by then), but received a regular tuna sandwich. the server then said, "well, it's the same thing". water wasn't refilled and we waited another 20 minutes after the dishes were cleared for the check. we won't be back either.
