What to add to this pasta salad recipe?

You can also wilt the spinach or arugula with some shallots and garlic instead of using them raw..and yes basil or oregano would be a great addition :)

Honestly..If I didn't already have a dedicated slicer and I was in the market for a dual purpose knife(bread and roast carver)I would seriously consider the MAC Superior.

Lucky me indeed! I've been lusting after this knife for a while. I've made do with a cheapo $10.00 Mundial for years, and it got the job done but this thing is a beast. If you don't play, you can't win! :)

So cowboy(or anyone else)..how do you think I should tackle these burrs? I tried running it through a cork but that did nothing and I'm leery about taking a steel to her,even ever so gently.

I recently won a MAC 270mm bread knife from a local purveyor of fine breads and baked goods(big shout out to ACE Bakery and FB!)and here's my initial OOTB impression(a more detailed review in the future after I put her through the ringer at work)

She's pretty. F&F is very good, nice Pakka wood handle,good balance and heft(175 grams). The blade has a slight upward curve to allow for better knuckle clearance and she's got an interesting "heel" on her that I would never expect on a bread knife/carver.
For some strange reason, I have to post photos individually..

Cal Pep vs Paco Meralgo

I didn't have a great experience at Cal Pep. Loud obnoxious tourists ,cramped bar seating mechanical service and overpriced(but tasty food)almost 60 euros for a tapas lunch.Wouldn't go back or recommend it..

Cutting boards

What kind of oil have you been using? Sounds like the oil has turned rancid.

Wood and plastic boards are the best. I've never used bamboo, seems a bit hard for my knives and whatever you do..never ever use glass or marble/granite "cutting boards".
