Milk Street Cafe coming to Wall Street

Boston's well known Milk Street Cafe is coming to Manhattan. The 29 year old cafe known for their homemade delicacies and corporate catering has secured an 8,000 square foot cafe space and 13,000 square foot commissary at 40 Wall Street diagonally across from the New York Stock Exchange (Between Broad and Williams Streets).

Jerusalem restaurants

We love Hachatzer - you can enter from either Derech Betlechem or Derech Chevron. Across the street from La Guta (where 1868 used to be). Several people have told us it is their favorite and everyone we have recommended it to has been very happy.
Be sure to check eLuna.com for 10% discount coupons to many Jerusalem restaurants.

Cocofe72 on 72nd between Broadway and West End now open

I saw a passing reference on here to this place so I checked it out this morning. Pastries, panini, sandwiches, salads, as well as coffee, chocolate drinks and tea. Primarily a take out place but with a few tables as well. Under supervision of Rabbi Marmorstein. Open from 7am until 6pm. Across the street from where the new My Most Favorite Food will be be opening. I didn't sample anything as I had eaten breakfast, but definitely worth a try. Owner seemed friendly and eager to please.

My Most Favorite to open on West 72nd Street

in the space formerly occupied by Nargila Grill and Dougies. Opening planned for November.
It seems that Prime Grill is also planning to open a bistro on the UWS.

NoiDue

I have been there about 8 times since it opened. I think it is outstanding. Great food, service and ambiance and very reasonable prices. It is a very welcome addition to the kosher dining scene in Manhattan. The noise level can get high if it is packed, but I find that it adds to the energy of the place. This is a cafe, not a formal stodgy dining room.

New Dairy Place on the UWS

We had dinner there last night. It is a great addition to the UWS. Under Rabbi Mehlman's supervision, which is accepted by Orthodox shuls in Manhattan. Cholov Yisrael (except for a few desserts). Antipasti, salads, pizza , panini and pasta - food was very good.. Great desserts and innovative coffee bar.
Open 7am to 11:30 pm. Motzei Shabbat until 1am. Brunch on Sundays 10 - 4.

Mosaica - tasting menu

My wife and i recently had the pleasure of experiencing the 6 course tasting menu at Mosaica. It was truly outstanding. Among the dishes we had were pumpkin soup, seared tuna, duck, sweetbreads, merguez sausage, chateuabriand and a wonderful desert. Each of the dishes was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented - with a variety of flavors and textures. We thought it was well worth the $70 cost.

NYC - Pizza Cave Closed?

I spoke to the owner last week. Said landlord did not want to renew lease. Didn't want food store there. Pharmacy next door may expand. Someone else told me landlord actually bought him out early.

Mosaica - NJ. Excellent

Had dinner there last night with a colleague. It was outstanding. After appetizers of Moroccan vegetarian cigars and a mixed Middle Eastern plate, I had the duck and he had the lamb. Service was great, as usual.
I took a peak at the Thanksgiving menu - prix fixe of $45. Looked wonderful. I think there are 3 seatings - Noon, 3 and 6.

Mosaica - NJ. Excellent

I think the prices are reasonable for what you are getting. I think entrees are in the mid to to high 20's. Also, remember it is BYOB.

Mosaica - NJ. Excellent

Yes I did. I think the food is as good as it was if not better.. The ambience is nicer as they enclosed the kitchen, so you no longer have a smoke filled dining room. Also, the mall was renovated and it is much more pleasant looking outside.

Mosaica - NJ. Excellent

I have been there a number of times over the past few months and it has become one of my favorites. The food is outstanding, ambience is nice and intimate and the service has been very good. The owners, Michel and Dalia, are very accommodating and eager to please.

Nargila 72nd St. - closed

Called them last Monday for a take out order and learned they had closed. Spoke to the one on the East Side and they had no additional information.
I will miss them as food was excellent, even though service could be really poor at times.

Nargila West 72nd - Improved plus Sushi

It is odd, I admit. But Jews seem to be drawn to Sushi. The chef preparing it at Nargila appears to be Japanese and it is done at a "sushi bar" station.
Mr. Broadway is the oddest, with Sushi, Chinese and Italian menus, in addition to the deli. Something for everyone.

Nargila West 72nd - Improved plus Sushi

My wife and I had dinner there this evening and found the service much improved. The waiter was attentive and very eager to please. I spoke to the manager - Yuval - and he explained that they have taken steps to correct the service issues.
The food, as usual was excellent. This included the lentil soup, hummus platter and chicken kebab. In additon, there is now a Sushi bar, and there was a complimentary tasting.
We sat in front of the roaring fireplace and, all in all, had a wonderful dining experience.
