Grilled marinated leg of lamb, tabbouleh, home made pita, prepared by my parents and their friends in our back yard. The other family's father came over with a bowl of dough, cranked our oven as high as it could possibly go, and started to produce steaming basketball-sized pocket breads while my dad grilled the butterflied leg of lamb outside after having marinated it for three days in the fridge (there's nothing like amateur enthusiasm for making it work out)
