I've seen a few posts bemoaning the general lack of tasty bagels, and I can't believe I haven't seen Sunrise Bagels mentioned here! Run by a couple of grumpy Greeks, they offer egg sandwiches, deli stuff, soups, and a few other things--but the bagels. Oh my dear Lord, the bagels. No fancy flavors, just your poppy, your salt, your sesame. The standards. My favorite is a schmear of lox spread on sesame (I love those everything bagels, but they repeat on me all day *urp*) It's on Ulster Avenue, across from the Jeep dealership. |

Walter's Hot Dogs is in Westchester--pretty far from NP. I'm sure you've figured that out by now. Other places in NP: Hokkaido or Gomen-Kudasai; Main Street Bistro, esp for breakfast, or the Plaza Diner. ----- |

Mount Tremper, NY recommendations? La Duchesse Anne was always good, though I haven't been in years. Definitely make it over to Sweet Sue's in Phoenicia, though--the most AMAZING pancakes. ----- La Duchesse Anne |

Another vote here for Savory. NB: cash only! |

Lay it on me, hounds--best dining on Outer Cape Heard Front Street mentioned many times, as well as Napi's. We took the advice of another beachgoer (thanks Martha, if you're out there!) and got to Mac's early, like around 5:15. Got in with no wait, which is crucial with two preschoolers...I had the lobster risotto, and the husband had fish tacos. Both were excellent. ----- Napi's Restaurant |

Lay it on me, hounds--best dining on Outer Cape Thanks, I've always liked the look of Red Inn, and we tried to get into Mac's last year but there was a car accident in the parking lot--so we took that as an omen. :/ ----- |

Lay it on me, hounds--best dining on Outer Cape OK, I've paid a lot of money and eaten a lot of just OK food on the Cape over the years. We've generally had better breakfast/lunch experiences than dinner experiences--in general, we've just paid a lot of money for OK food. SO. Tell me where you'd go for dinner if you were staying in Wellfleet/Truro/P-town, any and all price ranges, cuisines, atmospheres, etc. |
