Looking for offsite caterer for a BBQ in North Momouth County

Hi,
I'm looking for a caterer to handle a BBQ for about 50-70 people at the end of July at our house in north Monmouth County. I'm not looking for a pig roast, just a standard BBQ. Any recommendations on caterers that you have used (or heard good things about) and wasn't super expensive?

Thanks!!!

Pizza in Monmouth County

We have been very happy with Denino's in Aberdeen: http://www.deninospizzaplace.com/ Their chicken parm pizza is awesome. Expect to wait if you want to sit there, this place is ALWAYS busy.

Jersey Shore (Keyport) - Amazing Fish

I had the same experience as you unfortunately. My boyfriend's fried fish was underdone to the point that he could really only eat about 1/2. And EVERYTHING is fried. I was hoping for a grilled scallop sandwich. It seems unlikely we will ever go back.

A new pizza chain in Red Bank

We checked out this place at the end of the summer. The pizza was good. I like a LOT of veggies and whole wheat crust, I know, tall order so I tend to just make it at home. We might go back sometime, but the waitresses were beyond clueless. All in all, it was ALRIGHT. I give them some points for making an attempt at being eco and organic. But the place still screams chain. A few small changes could make the who eco thing a bit more believable (IE: getting rid of the paper towels in the bathroom and replacing with those cool blow ones with the blue light).

Fried clams on The Cape

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sir Crickets. Right in Orleans. I've been going for the past 20 years and it just isn't a trip to the Cape without it. My brother always orders the fried clams. I am partial to the crab/lobster rolls with chowder. YUM! But, Cooke's is an excellent choice as well.

Any NON-DINER Breakfasts in N. New Jersey?

Ok, this is a stretch from 30 min but if you are looking to road trip and make a day of it, I HIGHLY recommend The Lovin' Oven in Frenchtown, NJ. I used to live in Frenchtown, the town is cute, very artsy (as are the towns on the river, Stockton, Lambertville, and on the PA side New Hope). http://www.lovinovenfrenchtown.com/

They are delicious, homey, non-fried, fresh, non-diner restaurant. My personal fav in NJ. They use seasonal ingredients and have lots or vegetarian/vegan options (but as a meat eater, I can tell your their bacon is YUMMY!).

Borgata Buffet vs. Waterfront Buffet (Harrah's) vs. French Quarter Buffet (Showboat) in Atlantic City

I have been to all three (my roommates parents were big gamblers and would send us their free buffet comps :).

I think that the Borgata is the best. It is the most expensive, but the most extensive menu. The staff is pleasant. The Harrah's buffet actually made me a little ill and didn't seem super clean. Showboat is fine, but it is a bit off the floor. The Borgata has the best mashed potatoes. Yum.

Blueberries!

I just picked a MASSIVE amount of blueberries yesterday at an organic pick your own in NJ. Today I made blueberry pancakes and Oat Blueberry/Banana Muffins with an almond crumble. Oh wow.

Tomorrow, I want to try http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/mem...

Anybody have more dinner/savory recipes?
