Best Banh Mi?

Well, my favorite Bahn Mi used to be at the Butcher Shop...sadly, it's off the menu. My #2 is the Bahn Mi at Pho Hoa 1308 Manhattan on the West Bank across from Lowes.

A restaurant we don't know

Oh, how could I forget?!!! We had dinner the other night at Meson 923...he was the sous chef at Emeril's...the food was perfection. My only complaint, and I told them via email, haven't heard back tho, everyone around us got an amuse bouche from the chef except us. That's like having a bday party for your elementary school kid and only inviting the "cool" kids in the class...only white trash does that. Hope they took my suggestion of giving everyone an amuse bouche to heart. Otherwise...SUPERB!

A restaurant we don't know

I have a couple of suggestions:
Domenica...WOW! I's gotten mixed reviews but we've only had FABULOUS meals there! The fried squash blossoms stuffed with cheese (seasonal), octopus carpaccio, the starter meat & cheese tray...and believe it or not, the goat is SUBLIME! It's in the Roosevelt Hotel. It's a bit loud.
We adore the Butcher Shop behind Cochon in the American Sector (nee Warehouse District)...OMG! The sandwiches are unbelievable! We're so disappointed they aren't doing the Bahn Mi anymore but there are some INCREDIBLE other options. With 8 people go at off times, it's busy because it's GOOD! We also think Mondo is great! I swear they have the best seafood salad in town with squid, and octopus...Also in the American Sector WOW! Hope this helps.
