Nice but not too expensive dinner for party of 8
Looking for a nice, fun place for dinner for a group of 8 in the Dupont/Georgetown/Adam's Morgan area. But since we're all starving college students with no income, somewhere not too pricey would be preferable. Any suggestions?
Outstanding, Decadent Desserts?
The desserts at Kramer Books and afterwords are all amazing, and huge portions--great for sharing! Tryst in Adams Morgan has pretty good dessters too, and a great atmosphere. Cake Love in the U St. corridor is also supposed to have the best cupcakes.
Looking for a Beautiful, Romantic Restaurant in LA to have a Wedding Reception....
Cliff's Edge on Edgecliff/Sunset in Silver Lake has one of the best, most romantic settings in LA, but it's a little on the small side.
Lite lunch Mexican- is it possible?
Loteria Grill in the Farmers Market (3rd and Fairfax) has really good nopalitos (cactus head) salad, which is pretty light, and really tasty horchata and the hibiscus tea.
Good Mid Eastern near Los Feliz?
Zankou Chicken has really good kebabs, pita, and hummus. Only drawback is it's really small, so I usually order take-out...

Tiara Cafe, across from Angelique Cafe in the fashion district, is pretty good but a little overpriced.
Best breakfast in L.A.
Bloom Cafe on Pico is supposed to be amazing. I also LOVE Square One Dining on Fountain, across the street from the Church of Scientology. They specialize in gourmet breakfast items using all organic and seasonal ingredients.
