Indian restaurants

My favorite South Asian restaurant is a total hole in the wall but it has the BEST chili ghosh chicken that leaves me dreaming of it for weeks. It's called Ghareeb Nawaz and it's also on Devon but you'll notice that it has the longest line of taxis outside of the restaurant. If Indian taxi drivers think it's worth it, then it must be truly authentic!

Chicago Chinatown Recommendations?

I'd recommend Spring World in Chinatown Square. It's Yunnan food, which has similarities to Sichuan food but also offers dishes that are not spicy. It's also the only restaurant in Chnatown that I know of that offers a snack bar (cafeteria style) where you can pick 3 or 4 different appetizers for about $5. There is the weird (pigs ear and intestines) to the fairly safe (seaweed and marinated peanuts).
Also Ed's Potsticker house is a great choice for Northern chinese brunch. Try the tofu soup. And Lao Shanghai has pretty good shanghai soup dumplings.
Hope that helps! :D

Sweets and Savories Groupon

I used to love Sweets & Savories but I have to admit the last 3 times I went, i was pretty disappointment. I'd probably only go back for the steak frite and the burger. Those two items are fantastic and have NEVER let me down.

Help for Dinner - Lincoln/Paulina/Belmont

La Gondola has very unpretentious but FABULOUS italian food. Great thin crust pizzas too. Only seats 6 tables so I'd make a reservation if you'd like to go. Also tons of parking.
