We had an excellent dinner last night. The crab cake was the favorite of four entrees. It was awesome. Other favorites include the shrimp appetizer and cauliflower soup. Looking forward to trying their new space! Looks like August 6 is the last day for Newtown, PA location. |

Bucks County - Newtown - Olive Oil and Vinegar on tap We went to the Tubby Olive during the Newtown car show (July 17, 2011). I was never tempted to go in before but they had samples and they were fabulous. They have lots of balsamic vinegars, spices and oils to try. We bought the butter oil and the rosemary and lavender aromatic savory salts. They were so good together. They said they often have special tastings on weekends. It is a nice place to go for something different or for a gift. And they use nice gift bags and tissue paper for what you buy. |

THANKS for the ideas. I was able to check them out but none of them looked liked the place I remember. I did notice that there were new stores, etc. around the general area that were not there at the time. If the place changed hands or was renovated or new places were built around it, I might not recognize it. I will keep looking though! Thanks again. If I find the place, I will let you know. |

FYI - it was not the Pineville Tavern. The restaurant I am looking for was closer to Central Bucks than the Pineville Tavern. thanks. |

Some years ago, I went to a colonial looking Inn for dinner that had excellent ravioli. I think it was near Buckingham (?). It was on a country road, it was not really near anything else as far as I can recall, and had white table cloths and had a very nice colonial ambiance. Does anyone have any ideas of what restaurant that could have been? I searched and searched on-line and did not find anything. I know that is not a lot to go on. THANKS for any ideas. I am in the area again and would love to go back. |

went to Blaze for birthday dinner last night and was one of the best since living in RI. Mussels were fantastic, Voo-doo Shrimp and Portabella steak were winners. will go back soon to try more, Staff was very professional. It was a wonderful evening and we eat out often. Although meat was on the menu, I appreciate excellent non meat choices in a warm environment. We can't wait to go back. The dessert I got to go did not make it to the car. ----- |

The first time I had calamari in RI or ever was at the Elks in Smithfield RI. It came with the peppers and the sauce and I thought it was fantastic. It was fried but the whole dish was so different I thought it was great. May be I know a little better now, but I would like to try it again there to compare it to what the rest of the state has. |

Where's the best bowl of pho in southern NE.? I have tried Pho at several places in RI and PA. I tried the non meat Pho at Pho Evergreen in Smithfield RI and it remains my favorite. The first time I had it, it was a very cold day and it was the hottest soup ever with crisp fresh vegetables. It is still a remember able meal of all time for me. I have been there other times and tried the non vegetable and other things and have had outstanding and almost-outstanding food experiences. The non meat Pho has always been outstanding. Even my meat eater (beef Pho) companion has agreed. It is not CT but if you are ever in the RI, stop by. |
