Breck - restaurant updates?

I spend a lot of time in summit county, but haven't ever gone for sushi up there. Here are some of the spots we tend to frequent:

Keystone
If you're up for something super fancy, get reservations at the Alpenglow Stube. It's on the top of Keystone mountain - take the gondola up, put on some fuzzy slippers when you arrive, and enjoy a romantic meal. It's pricey but a good / fun mountain experience.

Dillon / Silverthorne
Arapahoe Cafe - some of the best bbq in town. I particularly enjoy their green chili or their brisket sandwiches.
Dam Brewery - good happy hour like half off appetizers (the nacho plate can feed 6-8 people), and $3 beers, most of which are pretty good. It's super busy here sometimes but my wife and I never have a problem getting a spot in the bar area (high tops are first come, first served)
Pug Ryan's - also a brewery with some decent food.

Frisco
Prost is a good small spot for some German beer and sausages / pretzels, more of a snack type environment.
Boat Yard - decent bar with some good Pizzas
Bagalis has some good Italian food
The best Mexican - most people say ___, but the strip-mall location always turned me off. We like Don Miguels better (sitting in the bar is best). The best margarita is at the new location of a colorado franchise The Rio (new, over by the high way by the Whole Foods)

Breckenridge
Unfortunately I haven't eaten in Breckenridge for a while so can't speak to many of the restaurants there.
Breckenridge Distillery is always fun for a tour/tasting after skiing

Denver recommendations?

I lived in SF for 6 years, but never made it to Tosca (is it new-ish?). Judging by their site I can think of a few in Denver and a couple in Boulder that would be similar.

Osterio Marco - in Larimer Square in Denver
Humbolt Farm and Fish
The Kitchen - Denver (and Boulder)
The Plimoth - haven't been but have heard good things
The Populist
Work and Class
Frasca - Boulder
Pizzaria Locale - Boulder (the Denver location is more like a Chipotle / Fast Casual than the Boulder location which is a sit down restaurant)

Christine303's list had some good options as well. I'd second the Vesta, Root Down, and Acorn recommendations. If you go to Acorn, head over to Crooked Stave (in the same building) for some world renown sour beers.

For Latin American, I'd recommend:

Cuba Cuba - As soon as you walk into the quaint old house transformed into restaurant, you feel like you're on vacation

Quiero Arepas food truck - very popular Venezuelan food truck is also opening a brick and mortar location in May: http://denver.eater.com/2015/1/7/7505...

Leña - have only been here once, but all the small plates my wife and I tried were all pretty good. This stretch of Broadway also has some decent night life for a younger crowd (and 2 or 3 rooftops which would be enjoyable in June)

Venue needed for cocktail party for 100 people near Colorado Convention Center

If you're still looking, you might want to consider the Contemporary Art Museum - they have a rooftop though I don't know if they'll fit 100. It's close to the convention center as well.

The best bar around there is the Green Russell. It's pretty popular so I'm not sure if they rent out the space.

Report: Super Duper Burgers (Market & Castro in SF)

I walked up to Super Duper this weekend and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is definitely nothing special, but I really enjoyed the food.

I ordered the special burger - "green peppercorn bacon burger," which contained exactly what the name says. The burger was delicious - a little drippy, but I didn't mind. The peppercorn in the dressing added the right amount of bite. The fries were great as well - not too greasy. Wash it all down with a Racer 5 and you've got a great Saturday lunch.

I'm also a fan of the self serve pickles - even though the jar looked kinda gross and picked through, they were spicy and delicious (but not as crisp as I like).

10 Ways to Eat More Bacon

I don't really like those Maple-Bacon lollipops - lick one is strange, lick two is really good, lick three and you say - ok this is going to get gross real fast.

where in the heck can you get a good sandwich in sf?

I too like Ike's. Had the "Hot Date for Hire" sandwich - steak, jalepeno poppers, and jack cheese.

Chipotle Promises Naturally Raised Meat

I think it's great what Chipotle has done. With some of the highest food costs in the industry, they have proved that you can still have good food at a low price with much healthier ingredients.

Also, I feel Chipotle gets a bad wrap for having 1000+ calories... wouldn't any taqueria burrito have a count just as high?

McSkillet Burrito and International Delight Coffee Creamer

It may sound sad, but I can't wait to try a McSkillet burrito. I'm glad I live in a city with real food, so I don't often give into my fast food temptations.

¡A Tapear!

Thanks CHOW! Found this street and hit up a few of the bars listed above. We had an awesome time. My favorite were the pimientos de Padrón (pictured above). Salty and delicious - my girlfriend got the really hot ones, but I was spared.
