coffee and possibly some breakfast in a centralized place/close to downtown MTL
Burgers and Benedicts, across from Atwater metro is pretty reliably good for breakfast! Lots of choices as well.
Ideas for sunday lunch near Alexis-Nihon (Montreal)?
If your budget allows it, Kaizen is quite good for sushi.
Caramel Flan
where can one buy a good caramel flan in montreal (for a party).
Thanks :)
Indian in Montreal.
I'll second Bombay Choupati! The food is excellent and the waitress (she might have been the owner) was so attentive and helpful when I went.
Abiata review
Oops I ended up reading all about Megdalla (the Ethiopian place on Bishop) and decided to go there instead. I'll let you know how it was if I go there sometime (& surely I will, love Ethiopian food!).
Magdala / Mekdala Ethiopian Resto Lounge.
never mind, went to Magdala last night. It was great!

How about Abiata? I've been once and thoroughly enjoyed it- how does it compare to Nil Bleu and Magdala?

What ever happened to Tavola Grande on Sainte Catherine? It seems to have closed from one day to the next.
Maison du Nord
I can't get enough of their pulled noodle dishes. The egg and tomato one is excellent (and alot of food at that!) and their lamb and coriander dumplings as well-- although a couple of times when I've been they've 'run out' of lamb dumplings :( be sure you're ready with a back-up dumpling order just in case
Hidden gems around Guy/Concordia
Thali on St Marc is (somewhat) new and has great, inexpensive Indian food
On St Mathieu next to Guy metro there is also a little place called Maison du Nord-- I've had great dumplings and pulled noodle dishes. Also, I have yet to try but I've heard that there pork sandwhich is excellent.
