Swatow sells their chilli oil by the cashier. However, it is a basic roasted version, as well the chilli flakes comes with the oil. |

ISO/ What is the best Home proconsumer Espresso machine? Just want to comment about Rocky (grinder). If you like exclusive dark roast coffee (oily beans), Rocky's gear tends to slip more often! I would look into other grinder. |

Need new foodie shopping destination in SWO, not STLM http://www.stjacobs.com/html/shopping... St jacobs has a very nice and large farmers market. |

Most farmers market vendor that sell honey should carry them. If you don't see them, ask the vendor, they might have it behind their display. I bought some at Wychwood Barns before. |

Chez pim wrote a beautiful article about silicone molds, the picture alone is worth reading. |

IIRC, Swatow's wonton noodle is made with a bit of pork/meat, while their shrimp dumpling nooldle is made with a bit of gingle and wood ear mushroom. If one is looking for a more traditional take of wonton noodle. I like Gourmet House (?) around the corner, their wonton noodle version is seasoned with a bit of dried pomfret. ----- |

Best Dim Sum in downtown Toronto There is a NEW restaurant beside Kim Moon Bakery (Dundas and Huron). Second floor. Sorry forget the name. This space is more modern. And I would rate the food on par or better with Rol San. Service is slower though. ----- Rol San |

I went to this event on Friday night. I had a big dinner earlier and did not order or line up for any food. I was there mostly for the vibe / atmosphere. I have to say of all the food festival in Toronto. This night market has the best real estate in terms of VIEW at night. One get to look at the city skyline. In a good day, it is priceless. |

Yummy Yummy Kitchen - Re-discovery of a Chowhound Hall-Of-Famer Thank you for the post and the detective work. Yummy Yummy @ Edward St sure brought back some good times / good food. My favorite and usual order was beef noodles (no onion). Beef noodles = beef ho fun (dry / no sauce version). |

Which wineries are worth a visit in Prince Edward County? Although not a winery, fifth town cheese is worth a visit. They have a tasting of their cheese with the wine from PEC. |

Is there better Thai than Sukhothai in Toronto? Thai Shan Inn I think it is less than a block north of eglinton. |

Is there better Thai than Sukhothai in Toronto? Thai Shan Inn does some dishes better. Although there main dishes' spicing lacks somewhat. Their mango salad is top notch. Fried rice is done wonderfully with wokhay. They also make their own house hot sauce. They just moved to dufferin, north of eglinton. The address from chowhound is an old one. ----- |

it can also be order "dry", with the soup on the side. i personally prefer the dry order, with the "thick" wonton noodle only...... |

Chinatown East (Gerrard) Recommendations? There is also a vietnamese noodle shop near scotia bank (@broadview and gerrard), the one that you have to walk up a few steps. They make an above average Fukien noodle (a pho variation). I like the dry version (lo mein), with soup, shrimp crackers, fried wanton all serve as side dish. |

a friend told me that the restaurant on top of dragon city centre (spadina + dundas) recently changed chefs. and the dim sum was awesome. I trust his opinion. but me myself i have not try it yet. |

I agreed that this place has potential. The food are well priced and reasanable. But my pizzzzzza that night was way too salty. I had the mushroom/fungus pizza. It was also quite delightful to see a family with kids, all by the window table of about 8 going about their meal in queen st east/south riverdale/leslieville. |
