40th b-day dinner downtown
Hi! I am looking for a place for dinner for my 40th birthday. There will be about 20 of us. Looking for something downtown - meat packing district, village etc. As far as food, nothing too out of the norm. Maybe spanish, italian, greek or the like. Pricing should be moderate. Any other details I need. Thanks in advance for the help. Love getting suggestions from here and have been gone way too long (having a baby keeps you in for a while : )
Belmont Tavern & Bar
Has anyone been here? Just want some good Italian food but can't find a menu online. Also, is it really small? Thanks
Jersey Boys Grill in New Milford?
I agree...horrible! I never send food back but I did this time. Fun atmosphere at night with the DJ and people stuck in the 80's dancing!
Restaurant for 70th birthday
I am looking for a restaurant near Belleville, NJ to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday. There will only be 4 or 6 of us. Her tastes are limited to the basics, Italian, American and I don't want to break the bank so something moderately priced. All suggestions will be helpful since I don't know that area at all. Thanks
Las Vegas steakhouse and Luxor Restaurant
Hi! I am taking my boyfriend to Vegas for his birthday in November. Two things I definitely want to do is take him to a great steakhouse and eat at the Luxor after our 7 pm show there. I would love suggestions on those two things and any other suggestions anyone has. Thanks!
Greek or Moroccan in the Village
I am looking for some authentic Greek or Moroccan food in the village (East or West). There will be four of us. Price should be moderate and maybe a funky atmosphere. Any thoughts?
Traditional Christmas Eve dinner
My family of 8 is looking for a place in Manhattan to have a traditional Christmas Eve dinner (fish dinner). We will probably go see the tree, look at the windows etc. so location should be kind of Midtown but I will travel for excellent food. Any price range is acceptable. Any suggestions?
Lunch near Pier 84
I am walking in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer on October 6th and 7th. I have a group of about 10 people meeting me at the end of the walk on Sunday. Since I am not sure when I will finish, I would like to find a place for them to meet and wait for me to call. The end of the walk is at Pier 84. I guess I am looking for a place for all of them to meet, have a drink and maybe a casual bite to eat. Any suggestions?
Dinner near 36th between 8th and 9th
I am going to a show with a couple of friends on 36th, between 8th and 9th. We would like to have dinner nearby before the show. We're looking for either Italian or American and reasonably priced. Any suggestions?
Any good places in Bradley Beach?
I like to park my car and walk for the entire time I am at the beach so anything in Bradley Beach would be great. I would love to find a good seafood restaurant with a decent raw bar menu. I am probably only going to have two dinners there so my price range is flexible. I just don't want another fried seafood.....menu on the wall....boardwalk place.
Any good places in Bradley Beach?
I am spending a couple of days in Bradley Beach NJ but can't seem to find any info online about restaurants and the such. Does anyone have some suggestions for good meals?
Tisha's or Peter Shields in Cape May
Thanks for all of the advice. We ended up going to Peter Shield's and it was great. We shared the seafood tapas appetizer which consisted of shrimp cocktail, raw tuna, salmon, artichoke hearts and green beans...all prepared differently and wonderfully. I had the catch of the day which was halibut with a cajun lobster bisque. My friend had the rack of lamb. Both were great. Although I was full from dinner, I had to try the key lime tart because it had an AMAZING graham cracker crust. We sat just inside of the porch and had a great view while listening to the piano player. We also brought our own wine which is always a plus. I do believe they serve NJ wines if you don't bring your own. I will definitely go back next time I am there.
