East Coaster heading to PDX

Hair of the Dog was top of the list, glad it lives up to the hype. My husband loves sours. Thanks for all the recommendations!

Has Anyone Been to the Fair Hill Lately?

If you're going to venture to the Fair Hill Inn again, I suggest doing it in the summer time. The owners have a huge garden there, and really focus on using produce that they grow when it's in season. They're also curing their own meats (and homemade cheeses, if I remember correctly) in the basement, which is basically a cave.

Need to send condolence food in Wilmington tomorrow or Monday. Help!

I realize this is a little late, but Hope's cookies are great to send, and are always well-received. (And delicious.)

East Coaster heading to PDX

I am heading from Philadelphia to Portland for two days as part of a mega west-coast beer trip the last week of May. I have two dinners, a lunch and two breakfasts to plan. Looking for the can't-miss spots in Portland, both food and beer-wise, that aren't accessible on the east coast. (Example -- Pok Pok, because it has a location in New York). Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Casual catering for bridal shower in Memphis?

Hi all. I am from Philly, but am throwing a bridal shower in Memphis for a friend who now lives there. I am looking for suggestions about where I could get good sandwiches and hors d'oeuvres for the shower, without breaking the bank. Thanks!

Cooking Classes in Delaware or Philly?

The Chef's Haven is in Hockessin, and they do lots of fun cooking classes. Here's a link:

Espuma, Rehoboth

You might also want to give Nage in Rehoboth a try. It's in a shopping center on Rt. 1, which seems like an odd place for it, but I've heard nothing but raves about it.

Drinks near Gramercy Theater?

We ended up running behind both nights (mostly because of subway construction, I really should have paid more attention to exactly what stations the 6 train was not stopping at), so grabbed quick dinners each night. The first night we went to Molly's, which was fun, and the second night to Waterfront Ale house, where their beer list was all that was promised and more.

I'm from the Philly area, so get up to NYC every few months. Next trip will be more food-based, because I really want to try EMP.

Drinks near Gramercy Theater?

Thanks for all the suggestions! I think we'll splurge for dinner at EMP one night, and hit one of the places close by the other night. I'm getting hungry already.

Drinks near Gramercy Theater?

I've eaten at Craftbar in the area, and enjoyed it. I think an ideal spot would be a creative american type place, with a good craft beer selection.

Thanks!

Drinks near Gramercy Theater?

I will be in NYC this weekend for the God Street Wine shows at Gramercy Theater, and am looking for a place to get drinks before the shows. Casual, pub-ish neighborhood spots are ideal.

I am also looking for a dinner suggestion of a restaurant in the neighborhood, about $30-$40 per person. My sister lived in NYC last year, but always ate and went out in the lower east side area, so I'm out of my element in the Flatiron neighborhood.

Thanks for your help!
