Cocktails+dinner, brunch recs -staying in Union Square

I absolutely agree with the comment for Morton's on post street (union sq). If you are looking for a restaurant with great atmosphere, bar and food as well as service - give Farallon a try if you do not mind seafood.

You won't be disappointed!

Ozumo on the Embarcadero ?

It is probably one of the best Japanese restaurant in SF/Bay Area. Based on my experience (multiple visits), the quality of the food and overall experience is in fact better than Nobu, Japonais, Morimoto, Sugiyama and etc. in NYC!

If you are okay with fresh uni, you must absolutely try Yamabuki. It is a version of Risotto with fresh uni!

Also, I maybe confusing myself with another restaurant, but for desert they may have a multi layer green tea cake that is absolutely awesome!

If you are heading to Ozumo during the evening and/or weekend, make sure you have a reservation as it is usually a full house. Enjoy the food!

If driving is okay and would prefer upscale, Ah Rhee Soo is recommended.

Asking for updated info on Korean (with BBQ) in Ocean/Monmouth Counties / Vietnamese also

I'm sorry joonjoon, but there is no decent Korean restaurant in Edison or outside of Bergen county period! Please do not mislead others on the forum to even imagine Korean food can be found in Edison/Middlesex county.

For all looking for Korean food, it will require a drive to Fort Lee/Palisades Park or NYC (Manhattan and Queens)
