Does Seattle have it's own cool coffee place like Intelligensia or Blue Bottle? Thanks, Alarash. Mt. Si's FB page mentions that they'll be at the Issaquah farmers' market this year. I think that opens sometime in April. I have been trying to find out if any cafes use their coffee. |

Does Seattle have it's own cool coffee place like Intelligensia or Blue Bottle? I love Umbria and Zoka, but I discovered a local (Eastside) roaster with delectable coffees - Mt. Si. |

Totally Kanishka. I've also eaten in Pabla in Issaquah, which is good for vegetarian. |

Check with Albertson's on Mercer Island. I think I saw them there in their freezer case a few months ago. They have a decent range of kosher foods, including bakery products and fresh meat. |

For a small, but excellent selection of very fine, very fresh catch and prepared and frozen items at good prices, I go to Gemini Fish on Gilman Blvd. in Issaquah. Bought some fresh very lovely (and tasty) Alaskan Sockeye Salmon for last Saturday night dinner. They always try to have BFCs (Big Fat Crabs) - yum. Also like to buy at Uwajimaya Bellevue. I never buy in regular supermarkets. |

where in seattle to buy turkish olives? For anyone looking for nice Turkish olives and other Mid-East foods, you can go to Byblos in Bellevue (14220 NE 20th St.). Prices are reasonable. Now and then, I pop in there for a jar of pickled veggies from Turkey. They carry a really nice block of Bulgarian feta in their fridge. I noticed that it's cheaper than in other shops. |

Uwajimaya Bellevue - Moving or an additional location? They moved to 699 120th Ave. NE, Bellevue. Went on Saturday. It's now big, clean and nice. The produce section has been expanded. So have the meat & seafood, housewares and household sections. The Japanese sushi resto that was the old place isn't there. Instead, there's a pan-Asian cafeteria with smells that permeated the whole place. There are whole lacquered Beijing ducks ready to go. Took a while to find stuff, but in all, it was a pleasant experience. |

Ba-Tampte half-sours can be found in Whole Foods in Bellevue. Yum. |
