Thanks! A friend just told me that Danamandi (sp?) is a really good bet for Indian food, too.

Reasonable and tasty eats for a band on tour in AB and SK?

Thanks! It sounds like we are actually playing at a new venue called Live on Whyte so I'm guessing that's somewhere in the same neighbourhood.

Anyone have any suggestions for the more northern regions like up around Prince George? Even a good place to eat non-poisonous breakfast would help.

Ha! Well if all goes well, that should be where we are playing, so let's keep our fingers crossed.

CHEAP & GOOD Vancouver restaurants

For Victoria, I would suggest:

Hernandez - Amazing food from El Salvador. $5 for 5 tacos and they're beautiful!
Pho Vy - Good solid pho. Cheap by Victoria standards.
Red Fish Blue Fish - Tuna Tacones, deep fried pickles and one feisty chowder.
Pig - Decent BBQ joint, the specials are always really good. They have another place out in Colwood that makes delicious and reasonable fried chicken.
Chou Chou Charcuterie and Foo usually have some great lunch specials too.

Victoria is a serious tough one for cheap eats. Anywhere you go to sit down seems to have an accelerating price tag. I think that's why my friends and I have become hardcore home cooks.

Reasonable and tasty eats for a band on tour in AB and SK?

Hello,

My band will be on tour in AB and SK in September and we are wondering where to eat. I posted on the BC, board for our BC dates and I'm wondering about Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Here's a list of the places we'll be playing:
Grande Prairie
Edmonton
Saskatoon
Medicine Hat
Lethbridge
Calgary
Canmore

Any small town places we can stop in between would be really helpful as well.
We are foodies and always looking for amazing secret eats, but keeping things reasonably priced is first and foremost. Anywhere open late or with cheap breakfast is always appreciated. Roadside fruit stands or good grocery stores would also really help us out.

Thanks so much in advance!

A good cup of coffee never hurt either, but I will haul my French press and Coleman stove just in case...

Reasonable and tasty eats for a band on tour in BC, especially in Northern BC and Okanagan?

Hi everybody,

My band will be on tour with another band in September and we are wondering about our eating options, especially in northern BC. Here's a list of the towns we'll be playing in:
Vancouver (Which we've got covered. I am a Van foodie through and through.)
Anywhere on route between van and Kamloops or Penticton for lunch
Kamloops
Prince George
Anywhere between Prince George and Fort St. John
Fort St John
Anything on route towards Edmonton
Golden
Kelowna
Penticton

Anything reasonably priced would be fantastic. Road food gems are always exciting. Open late would be even more fantastic. Cheap breakfast is always greatly appreciated. Places we can stop and get fruit/munchies/groceries are helpful too. Warding off the tour scurvy is always beneficial.

Thanks so much ahead of time!
