"New" Little Anthony's at Richmond & York
Has anyone tried the restaurant since it reopened? Is the food better, worse, the same?
I can only find a reveiw of the opening night online & their website doesn't have the menus available yet.

Dinner and Flameco in Barcelona (Friday night in June)
Hello everyone,
4 couples will be in Barcelona on a Friday night. We are booked into the Hotel Granvia, on Gran Via between Paseig de Gracia and Plaza Catalunya. As we have not been to Spain and don't know anyone who is familiar with Barcelona, I was hoping to get some suggestions on our tentative game plan. Any suggestions you can offer would be very much appreciated.
We were thinking a dinner and flamenco show, perhaps organized through a tour or restaurant or our hotel. While this likely wouldn't be an authentic experience we are thinking it might a good option since there are 8 of us, we're not familiar with the city, and it might be better to plan ahead with a reservation since Friday night could be quite busy in most places.
Questions: Are there any decent tours or restaurants that offer dinner and flamenco that anyone knows about ? Is there a less touristy way to accomplish a great night out in that general area of the city with good food and some live music or entertainment? Sorry to be a bit vague & thank you for any and all suggestions.
Village of Celra, Girona Province
4 couples are spending a week near the village of Celera in the Girona Province. Does anyone have any recommendations on restaurants or wineries that shouldn't be missed while in that area. Thank you
Restaurant and Overnight in Barcelona June 2010
Hello friends,
2 couples are looking for some info on where to eat / stay for one Friday night in Barcelona, before we head north the next day to the Girona area.
We are Canadian, middle age (how hate to admit that) 45-55 and all of us like to get out & have a good time. Walk around, eat, drink and be merry. We would probably prefer something casual / neighbourhood / local feel vs fancy / big hotel. We'd like to be able to walk from our accommodation to the restaurant and perhaps check out some age appropriate nightlife after (no techno clubs, please). We all love live music.
I have done some preliminary research and there are so many options / areas to consider.
Question: Based on the rather geneal info above, if you were us and had one night in Barcelona, where would you stay / dine?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. General areas / dining options or specific restaurants and I'll work on finding accomodation close by.
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to respond! It will be truely appreciated.
Where to buy Spanish ingredients in Toronto
In prep for a future trip to Spain, I'm hosting a Spanish themed dinner part. Any suggestions where to buy ingredients such as bomba or calasparra rice / spanish saffron / nora peppers / smoked spanish paprika etc. Thanks!
Any restaurant recommendations for Uxbridge / Keswick / Sutton area
Are there any dining establishments worth trying?
Restaurant recommendation Uxbridge / Jacksons Point / Keswick / Sutton
Looking for recommondations for an 80th birthday lunch on a Sunday that is not burgers and fries. We have tried Tin Mill in Uxbridge and The Briars in Jackson'd Point. Both are fine choices but we're looking for somewhere new. Are there any other similar type restaurants in that general area - north of Newmarket / south of Lake Simcoe. Approx # of people would be 12.
Thanks!
Birthday Party - Pig Roast - Toronto
I ended up using enVille catering in Toronto who does all the Ted Reader's stuff. It was great and I'd highly recommend them. The food was outstanding for an outdoor BBQ with lots of people
Thai Take Out in the Beach or Leslieville
Any suggestions on decent Thai take out in the Beach or in Leslieville?
The Salmon House West Vancouver
My husband and I will be vacationing in Vancouver late August. A client of his, who is an ex-resident of Vancouver, highly recommended The Salmon House. Some posts on this Boards are saying to stay clear. Is it a worthwhile restaurant for dinner? Any comments you have would be appreciated. Thank You
Quick Vote: JKWB, Cava, Rain, Monsoon
Rain hands down for the overall experience including the food.
JK food is much too salty.
Cava was OK but nothing great.
Monsoon not even in the same category food wise (but the room is nice).
For a "water" themed evening ... how about a drink at Monsoon followed by dinner at Rain. They are within easy walking distance of each other.
Drinks at Colborne Lane?Need some recs, fast!
I was there in the spring for my birthday and really enjoyed the tasting menu. The wine list overall wasn't that impressive at the time so we ordered good bottles of champagne. I find that anything goes great with good bubbles and it matched / balanced the molecular cooking nicely. Enjoy!
Birthday Party - Pig Roast - Toronto
Are there any caterers in Toronto who will do a pig roast for a private party? I'm guesing for 50 - 75 people. It's for a 50th birthday and might be at a house or a rented venue. Either in Toronto or an hour north of Toronto. I'm just really in the preliminary planning stages & would apprecaite any suggestions on caterers or even venues.
Thank You
What are your best Cafeteria Recommendations?
The cafeteria in the Toronto Star building (1 Yonge St.) is decent. The food is good, reasonably priced and the view is great.
Vi Vetha or Balsam in the Beach for a birthday dinner
Which one would you recommend? thanks
WINGS!
The Grover has recently reopened. I don't know if the wings will be the same since it's been out of commish for quite some time.
Canadian Version of "Burgers to Eat Before You Die" ?
I have heard that Dangerous Dan's (Broadview & Queen) serves up a good burger. I haven't tried one myself. Has anyone else?
Ultra Supper Club
We're heading there for an anniversary dinner tonight because friends told us they liked the food. Has anyone been recently and do you have any comments?
I'm hoping we're not making a mistake, given last years posts on this restaurant.
Real French bistro
I like Sauvignon (Queen & Woodbine). The food is great and they have 2 sides to the restaurant ... a more modern side and a more traditional side. I'm sure the one owner? or bartender? is right off the plane from France. Not a huge menu selection but what they offer they do quite well.
Best beef stroganoff in Toronto?
I believe that Corvina (Kingston Rd & Victoria Park vicinity) has beef stroganoff. I know they have stick to your ribs home cooked Hungarian food in that yummy sour cream sauce.
