Bordeaux/St.Emilion/Arcachon with Baby

Good to know about the holidays.
And yes, we are quite quick with the removal of a fussing baby. Can't bear the thought of ruining other people's meals.

Bordeaux here we come!

We'll be going July 7-12th. We're in Saintes for a wedding prior to that. So, I guess it will be very busy.

Thanks Ptipois! Just to make sure, these restaurants wouldn't frown too much for bringing a baby?

Thank you so much Parnassien! This is fantastic. I will report back our thoughts. This will be our first time travelling with bébé and we want to still be able to eat decently while on vacation. I have read about Le Lion d'Or so we may venture out to Arcins. We'll have a car too!

Bordeaux/St.Emilion/Arcachon with Baby

Hi. I'm planning a trip to Bordeaux with day trips out to St. Emilion and Arcachon with my husband and 8 month old daughter. Any suggestions on places where we can dine with our baby? If we have to, we may plan to do lunches while out and about and resign ourselves to eating in for dinners if we find that our baby can't manage to sleep through late night dining .
Any takeout suggestions for those evenings?? We're staying near the Gambetta tram stop. Thanks in advance!

Whole Roasted Chicken Takeout (NOT Portuguese!) in Toronto

Definitely try the chicken at Stockyards at St. Clair and Christie. I believe it''s smoked and only available on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays for dinner. It's fantastic.

Prop on St. Clair West

Live in the neighborhood and had wanted to check this place out for a while now. Went last night with my husband and was quite disappointed. It was a Saturday night and very busy. We decided not to wait for a table and just eat at the bar. The bartender who was our server was great. Super friendly and fairly attentive. I had the herb crusted salmon (I think that's what it was called). The salmon was slightly overcooked but otherwise tasty. Lots of veggies that accompanied it but the green beans were very overcooked and limp. Husband had the seafood stew. He thought it was ok.
What was unfortunate was my husband had a dirty napkin flung onto his bread plate and left there while a server started drying some glasses. My husband removed it and folded it nicely and put it to the side for the server. She didn't even acknowledge this. Then, she decided that she had no room to dry some glasses and proceeded to line up about 10 dirty glasses in front of my husband's plate. She didn't seem to think that was at all problematic. We didn't complain. We just ate the rest of our meal quickly and left. We will never go back there again.
