L2O vs Tru vs Spiaggia- Birthday Dinner

Thanks for the lengthy response! My birthday is on a Monday, so unfortunately many of those options aren't available. We did manage to get a reservation at Grace for the Friday before, so we're considering just cooking dinner on my birthday and enjoying at Grace beforehand.

As of right now I think I'm leaning towards L2O if we do the dinner on my actual birthday. Thanks everyone for the responses!

L2O vs Tru vs Spiaggia- Birthday Dinner

I am deciding between L2O, Tru and Spiaggia for a 23rd birthday dinner. What have your experiences been at these three and what would you say are the pros and cons? Looking for interesting, tasty food without too much of a pretentious environment.

Thanks!

21st Birthday Dinner in Vegas... Recs?

So after speaking with my parents, the budget is much more flexible. I'm looking for something fun and young, with interesting food. Pretty open to all types of food. At the moment, we're strongly considering Twist- it seems like interesting food but I'm a bit put off by mixed reviews. It seems that people either rave about it or say it was awful. Another option is Aureole but I get the feeling that its a bit stuffier/older than what I'd want. Thoughts? Any other suggestions?

21st Birthday Dinner in Vegas... Recs?

So I'm celebrating my 21st in Vegas and wanting a rec for dinner. I'm interested in an upscale restaurant for an interesting, foodie experience and am open to all types of food. I'm looking for ~100 a person inc. alcohol, and preferably a restaurant thats on open table. Any recs?

Best sushi lunch deal?

I apologize if this has been posted already, but I'm looking for input on the best sushi lunch in the city, with good quality for the price. I love uni and ikura and would love to try interesting fish, but am also a college student aka broke. Where can I have an authentic and interesting sushi experience without it costing a ridiculous amount? Looking to go for lunch, not dinner, mostly because of price.

romantic restaurant recs near Second City

I recently ate at Riccardo Trattoria on Clark (walking distance from Second City- we actually went and bought our tix for the next night at Second City on our way to dinner) and it was delicious. Authentic Italian food, 32$ prix fixe menu. Cute, very romantic and intimate, great service. Highly reccommended.

Takashi, Zealous, Graham Elliot, Cafe des Architects, North Pond--- thoughts on these choices?

Thanks for the advice! Ended up scoring the last opentable reservation at North Pond, and I think that's where we're ending up :)

Takashi, Zealous, Graham Elliot, Cafe des Architects, North Pond--- thoughts on these choices?

Looking to make dinner reservations this weekend and considering those choices... not super familiar with any of them, so could anyone sort of elaborate on the pros/cons of each choice? We're looking for a nice, upscale, romantic place with great food. What are your thoughts on the experience at these places?

Dinner for two for around $150 downtown?

Thanks! We recently went to Japonais with another gift card, which I think may be a bit similar to Sunda, but I'm definitely going to look more into Cafe des Architectes!

Dinner for two for around $150 downtown?

We live on the Gold Coast near the Viagra Triangle which gives us a wide range of areas we can walk or take the el to. As for drinking, because we're cheap college students we usually split a bottle of wine at home first, but if the restaurant is reasonable enough we'd have a glass or two or a bottle at the restaurant. We'd really like to try something innovative, perhaps fusion-y? We tend to like New American, French, Italian, Japanese, and all kinds of Asian food. Is that a bit better?

Dinner for two for around $150 downtown?

So my boyfriend and I are broke college students who are lucky enough to have gotten a $100 gift card for any open table restaurant. We both love food and are very adventurous. What restaurant would you recommend for us that would end up being around 150 with one app and two entrees or so? We'd really like to try something different and perhaps "foodier" than what we can normally afford on our budget. Any suggestions?
