short ribs?
I have recently become obsessed with and addicted to short ribs, and I've noticed that not a lot of places have them - I'm sure that's because (having made them myself) it takes a good part of your afternoon to prepare. I've had them at Tam O'Shanter (v. good) and Shutters (good) - any other places of note? I live in SFV, but would travel for fantastic short ribs.
Dim Sum in SFV?
We used to go to Empress Pavillion in Alhambra or one of the places in Chinatown, but we moved to Sherman Oaks recently. Any good dim sum in Sherman Oaks/Van Nuys - anyplace in the SFV, really. Thanks.
Chimichangas?
I LOVE chimichangas (deep-fried burritos) but I have a hard time finding them at local Mexican restaurants (I think they're not authentic). Anybody know of any places in the Valley/NoHo/Burbank that has great chimichangas? Thanks.
Tableside Caesar or Baked Alaska
Hi - I need some suggestions for my husband's birthday dinner next week. He loves tableside Caesar salads (we used to go to Delacey's Club 41 in Pasadena for his b-day every year, but sadly I think that place has closed for good), or baked Alaska - any suggestions? We live in the SF valley, but I'm willing to travel for someplace great. Thanks.
Good food (crab?) in Inner Harbor
We're meeting a friend in Baltimore the day after Thanksgiving for lunch. Where is a good, easily locatable (he's coming from DC and us from close to Aberdeen) place to eat? I'd love to get some crabs if possible. Thanks.
