Breakfast

I am interested in Clinton St Baking Co. My only day I can go is on a Saturday morning. They open at 9AM. I need to leave my hotel around 11AM to make it to the airport. In your opinion, will I be able to go to the restaurant (how early should I arrive) and have time to eat and make it back to Midtown in two hours?

NYC 2012 Summer Restaurant Week Menu Released

I can spend up to $60 but if I can get a good restaurant with RW then by all means I would love to save money! But as you say I may just be better off going to one of the other restaurants you recommended and spend more money. Thanks!

That thread is for ANY restaurant recommendations. Right here I am specifically asking for recommendations from RW.

Dining Solo for Italian

My budget is somewhat open. Pre tax, tip and drinks I would like to stay under $60. I'm thinking a two courses and maybe dessert (the $60 is without dessert). I have no problem sitting at the bar. I love Babbo and would not mind going back but was looking for something new. I am staying in Midtown but am not confined to that area.

NYC 2012 Summer Restaurant Week Menu Released

I have a one night layer on Friday, August 3rd. I arrive after lunch and leave Saturday morning after breakfast. Are there any restaurants y'all would recommend for Friday night dinner or Saturday morning breakfast? I would love to find a good Italian restaurant with house made pasta, but I am open to any suggestions from the restaurant week list. Thanks!

Dining Solo for Italian

I have a one night layover in NYC. I will be alone and due to the nature of my trip I will only have slacks and a Polo (no button down, tie or coat). I need some recommendations for an authentic Italian restaurant that makes their pasta in house. Thanks!

Chocolate Tour

Is there a specific location I need to visit or are all locations the same? I've heard about the crack pie...what exactly is it?

Initially I was thinking just chocolate but I'll take anything with sugar!

Is Kee's Chocolates Midtown sufficient or do I need to visit the SoHo location?

Chocolate Tour

I have been to NYC a number of times. I have a one night layover August 3rd. I will arrive around 2PM on Friday afternoon and depart 11AM Saturday morning. I am looking for suggestions for a self guided chocolate tour that can be done on Friday afternoon. Thanks!

Looking for great steaks!

You are partially correct. The original location, on Broad St. has closed. If the original were still open I would still recommend Mr. John's. I have always found Ruth's Chris to be a disappointment.

Mr. John's is the best steak I have ever eaten, period. Do NOT eat Ruth's Chris. If you are in a city like New Orleans and you eat at ANY chain restaurant you should be kicked in the shin. Seriously, why would you even consider Ruth's Chris?

Italian Dinner for one?

I have a one night layover in NYC. I am coming from a two week trip from London. I will not have a tie or blazer with me. I will have slacks but maybe not even a button down, only a polo style. I would like a good Italian meal but I realize many of the good Italian restaurants are also a bit nicer. Can you recommend an Italian restaurant in which I can feel comfortable dining in with slacks and a polo? This will be for dinner, not lunch. Thanks!
