Astoria lunch stops

Taking the 7 out to the Mets game and was hoping to stop in Astoria for lunch before the game. Any can't-miss places relatively close to the Subway? Willing to walk a couple of blocks but don't have a lot of time so I can't venture too far.

Of course, if there is something amazing, I'd be willing to venture a little bit farther. Any type of cuisine is fine. Thanks in advance.

Best thai (lunch)

Looking for a place anywhere in Manhattan for authentic Thai. Doesn't have to have lunch specials or be too cheap, just proper Thai food.

pasta lunch

Thanks. Went to Centro and had the bucatini all’amatriciana. Excellent.

pasta lunch

I'm in the mood for spaghetti and meatballs, but any place with a nice bowl of pasta will do. Where should I go today? Have the day off and willing to travel (pretty much) anywhere in Manhattan. Price doesn't matter. I don't want too formal of a sit-down experience, though.

Thanks.

Sparks or Peter Luger?

My vote also goes for Keen's. I will also throw Porter House into the mix. If you do arrive there, order the ribeye.
