Drove by Ashes yesterday and it was closed down with a lease sign in the front. I read not long ago there were new owners who own another restaurant somewhere north of here. Does anyone know what Happened?

The owners name is Anthony Dieaco(?) of the Avenue and Pier Village complex but i am almost positve he does not own Sirena. Like I said he is part owners with unidici.

Sorry to hear that. It must have been an off night. Maybe something happened at the beginning of the night and they just never recovered. We went last Monday and we had such a delightful experience, from the service to the food. I did experience the 4 hostess at front and all of them except one did not know what was going on. I hate to say it but I would give them another chance, maybe on a Monday or Tuesday.

Went to Avenue last night and had a delightful experience. The food was really good, service was so attentive but not too much in your face, and the atmosphere was lovely. This is a place where they pay attention to every detail. The restaurant was immaculate!!
Can't wait to go back:)

If she lives in Astoria home to some amazing greek restaurants, I would not take her to any greek restaurant in Monmouth county. If she lives in queens I would find a place with a view of the ocean.

If you have ever seen how busy Teak is on a monday night they have to be ordering fresh fish. I thought hte same thing at first that they must try to be getting rid of fish from the weekend but not driving past there every Monday night and seeing people pouring out the door.
Lots have changed since Anthony Bourdain wrote Kitchen Confidential. You can get fresh fish pretty much anytime during the week just not on Sundays.

Looking for old school Italian but something good and fresh not a place with a 5 page menu. Been craving white clam sauce, please help!

I am a little weary of all u can eat sushi places. I know on Monday nights at Teak in Red Bank sushi and I think the whole menu is 1/2 off. Always crowded so I suggest making reservations.
