Naders Middle eastern grill & Bakery, is it open yet? (Mississauga)

Yeah it opened up on the 18th, but I think it's a soft opening. They didn't make a grand opening yet. Decent place, good food, okay prices.

I know it's owned by the same people who own Nader Halal Meat on Dundas and Hwy 10. Let's hope it's good

Range hoods, need some advice!

Hi there, yeah the Ventahood required an 8" duct size. Must have been a typo! I went in to measure the size of the duct and it's only 6" (what I have available). I need to find another hood that can do the job with the available ducting.

Nice kitchen btw!

Range hoods, need some advice!

I'm going to be getting a lovely Viking gas range with about 15,000 BTUs per burner. It's a 30" range, so theres 4 elements. We had the Ventahood all picked out as a range hood, but unfortunately we can't install it since our ducting is only 6", and the Ventahood requires a 6". The smaller 6" Ventahood is only 300cfm, and I was told that it's not enough for my range. I need some help getting a good range hood that would be adequate for my range, with only a 6" duct!

New Refrigerator-Dual Evaporators

I'm not so sure about the dual evaporator technology. But I was told to stay away from Samsung fridges due to the fact that the repair costs are ridiculous, especially since they're not a North American brand. Electrolux also bought out Frigidaire, so their technology will be soon implemented in their products (but only on the high end I believe).

Electrolux fridges are also so good looking. I'm actually going to get the french door model, since it'll fit more stuff in the freezer for a counter depth. The sales also kept trying to push LG model fridges, which are also very solid and very affordable. Except I had to go for the Electrolux.

I hope this helps!

Range Hood: Ventahood? Bertazzoni? Others?

I've done my homework on all sorts of range hoods, and by far Ventahood is the best one. The cleaning is easy, just take off the "vent" off the clips (like opening up a suit case), soak it in the sink for a bit, then throw it in the dishwasher. You have to do that maybe once every 6 months if you cook a lot!

It's got a 5 year manufacturer warranty, and its soooooooooo quiet. Ventahood is definitely the way to go!

HELP! Gas or dual fuel?

I'm going to be moving into my house approximately 10 weeks from now and needed to buy all new appliances. I walked into my local neighborhood appliance store, and they sold me on a few items I wasn't considering before. I come home and google them and wasn't happy with what I found.

I ended up with a GE Cafe Dual Fuel Range. I'm not a big baker, but I love roasting meats till they become brown. So i'm not really sure whether an electric stove or a gas stove is better. I can still change it, I just need it to be free standing. The idea of the griddle is nice, but I didn't know that it only had medium and low settings! I also hear it scratches easy. Any suggestions for the kind of range I can get that'll give me a powerful gas cooktop, nice even cooking in the oven, something that can roast my chicken and meats and possibly broil them nice, and something with professional looks (not really thaaat importnant, but nice to have)

Let me know!!
