Beyond disappointed with New Ginza, Watertown
I can't agree more. I went to new ginza recently and was extremely dispointed. the food was very average compared to the price offered. the spicy sauce was very creamy and not spicy and the food quality was horrible. I had better sushi from the supermarket honestly.
in a few words, New Ginza is about serving an expensive meal using cheap food and low quality.
anyone had a bad experience in Eclano in the North End?
It was a Saturday evening, my girlfriend and I asked for their special bruchtta and seafood pasta.
The bruchetta came 30 minutes after we ordered it, and the bread came 15 minnutes afterwards.
the service was very bad, the waiter seemed very professional and polite and when we asked for the bread, he'd say it's coming, but he'd never come back to apologize when the bread didn't come.
the pasta took literally 40 minutes after we finished eating the brushetta. and this is where i was shocked:
1- the pasta tasted like Ramen noodles. I am not kidding, both me and my gf were horrified, it was definitely not the taste you'd expect from a north end restaurant.
2- the portions were tiny.
Has anyone ever had a bad experience in this place or was it that we were unlucky to be there at an evening where the chef was not at his best?
I wouldn't come back again there, but i'm just curious if this is what other people feel as well.
Matte ?
Matte, the brazilian drink.
I've been looking for a shop that sells everything i need to make Matte at home. From the herb, to the sugar, to the metal cup and straw. Can someone point me out to a store in Boston or beyond where i can get all their things?
Also, if there are different choices in terms of quality of products, can you suggest which one i should get?
Thank you
Any Sushi buffet or all you can eat in Boston or around?
Are you kidding? This place makes me want to puke when i go in there.
Their food is HORRIBLE.
Listen, I've been to many korean restaurants and their food is usually amazing. Unfortunately, Arirang is probably good, but it's not made for humans to consume ( Exagerating of course but you get my point).

The new shino
Did anyone here used to go to the shino BEFORE they made the new changes to the prices and imposed brown rice in everything?
If you tried the shino before and now, what do you think? do you think they did a good or bad thing? what are the things you used to like and hate now and before?

It's in the north End and I'm thinking of paying this place a visit. Did anyone try it for lunch? Do you recommend it? if so, what is it famous for?
Any good deals in the North End for lunch?
I've been to LaFamilia Giorgio where you can get a 5 item sampler platter for $6. The portions are generous and the quality is pretty good.
I want to explore and find new places that have interesting and good deals for lunch.
Can someone suggest places you've been to or heard of in the North End ?
Thanks
