Looking for affordable vegan/vegetarian friendly restaurants in LA

This place is a little random, but these guys have a fabulous vegan menu. Tony's Darts Away in Burbank...to top that off, they have a pretty good selection of beer on tap too! http://tonysda.com/

Client dinner in Ventura County

Yes, go to Brooks in Ventura...the owner is an excellent chef. A few friends I went to high school together. He is a well rounded chef having cooked for famous restaurants all over the world.

Fish & Chips in the Valley?

So you guys don't like Cat & Fiddle too much then? It has been crazy there with World Cup folks, and anyone who is into their sports. Decent fish & chips.scotch eggs, and sheperds pie. There's another place in Arcadia I've wanted to try out called Matt Denny's that has some of the similiar food (but also has pretty excellent selection of beer on tap too). Good Brit food is hard to find sometimes

All your fave food trucks all in one place (Americana @ Brand in Glendale)

Hey CHer's, just found out that the Americana @ Brand in Glendale will be hosting a Street Feast featuring LA's popular food trucks - it'll be on June 15th from 6-10pm. Good time to check out some of these if you haven't tried already.

Awesome breakfasts in LA, I can name two. How about you?

The Johnnycake Combo @ The Dish in La Canada Flintridge is tasty, and Black Cow Cafe in Montrose has really good breakfast items

Best French Toast in LA

Parking kinda sucks, but Marston's in Pasadena makes a really great French toast w/cornflake crust...and you get a lot of bang for your buck - you can split this with another person. Toast on 3rd Street has really good breakfast, but even better for lunch.

Cocktails & Mixology

I'm still a fan of Lola's in Hollywood - they make a really good Apple Martini that's still good after all these years

Food Truck Sound-Off

Koji is good (also just went to a party where they catered Koji - even better because there wasn't any wait time- but they are really pricey if you have them cater an event), not sure if you like Indian food - but this truck is super tasty - India Jones Chow Truck. Also check out the most recent nominees - have tried a couple on the list - for the 2010 LA Vendy Awards streetvendor.org/vendys/la/finalists

Sweet & Sour Pork, Kung Pao Chicken, Shrimp in Lobster Sauce!! WHERE CAN I FIND THEM!!!

New Moon Restaurant in Montrose (by Glendale) is a nice gem - they have a untraditional Chinese Chicken Salad (one of their signature dishes) that's wonderful (lightly seasoned), great Chix and Beef dishes. The Montrose location just did a remodel and now has a full sized bar. Their original restaurant is located in downtown LA & a few years ago they just opened a place in the Valencia area,

Best fried chicken in LA? where is it?

Not sure where you are located...but I love this hole in the wall place on the westside in Culver City (their 1st/original location is in Compton) - Honey's Kettle - not fancy or anything, but good old fashioned country cooking & really good fried chix - 9537 Culver Blvd., Culver City, CA 90232, Phone (310) 202-5453

Pasadena is weak!

There are a few good eats in Pasadena - Le Grand Orange is good for food & drinks, Kang's Yujean Gourmet Chinese - both located on Raymond Ave., Arroyo Chop House is good for steak lovers - located on Arroyo Parkway, if you like Thai food - try "Saladang" (indoor seating) & it's next sister restaurant/next door (indoor and outdoor seating) neighbor "Song" - located on Fair Oaks/Del Mar, if you are looking for casual dining & like Mexican - try Mijares on Pasadena Ave. - they have amazing Margarita's & a mean garbage burrito (one of their specialties)
