Justin's Ragin' Cajun restaurant in Phoenix

i prefer flavors of louisiana to baby kay's when in need a fix, but neither compares to what i can cook at home. though the owners of flavors and i share the same distinctively-cajun last name :)

you might also check out some of the events put on by the phoenix chapter of the lsu alumni association. i know they do a mardi gras dinner and crawfish boil, among other things.

Gourmet goodies to remember NO once home...

I stock up on Blue Runner beans and Hubig's Pies whenever I go home. Can't find either here in Phoenix.

4 Days in August Itinerary

Try the chargrilled oysters at Acme. I think they're as good as the chargrilled oysters at Drago's. That's right I said it! As good as Drago's!

And I'd give my big left toe to have some biscuits and debris from Mother's for breakfast. Only change I would make to your itinerary is to visit Jacques-Imo's for dinner one night if you haven't been there already.

Phoenix pizza

A handful of my favorites are Cibo, Oregano's, and Sauce. I can't wait to try the others listed in this thread.

Phoenix - Okonomiyaki/Katsu Curry

Yoshimatsu in Tucson serves Okonomiyaki and Katsu Curry. I've had both and they're yummy. But I wouldn't know how they stand up to Okonomiyaki and Katsu Curry served in Japan. In any case, Yoshimatsu is an excellent restaurant and is worth the drive to Tucson.

Here is their website:
